On Friday, February 18 , we featured the work of Paul Coltofeanu AKA Free Swim. While cheeky and raucous at times, it was well played and highly enjoyable stuff. Coltofeanu is back again. This time it's with his band mates, Joe Truscott and Steve Matthews. If Free Swim is Coltofeanu's Zappa moment, Android Angel is something far more serious and is reminiscent of early XTC, and Pink Floyd during "The Wall" era. Free Swim represents music from the mind of Paul Coltofeanu, who has been very busy these last few months recording and releasing the EPs, Two Hands Is OK and Yolanda the Panda . I have to admit that when I arrived at the Free Swim page, I thought I stumbled upon something intended for children. Man, was I wrong. We don't really review EPs, but then we don't usually happen upon abrasive and endearing concept EPs about über-motivated mountaineering pandas going by the name of Yolanda.
