Was tempted to post this from JK's account. Felt like the right thing to do. New video from Avenue off the XXYXX instrumental. Visuals by VASH.

Record Store Day is here folks. It doesn't matter if you've got your eye on something new or a swanky re-release, the most important thing is to just get out and support the stores any way you can. Cool? Cool. Bristol label/musical hub of goodness, Fear Of Fiction , are again putting something out for RSD. This year it's a six-track, screen-printed, limited edition CD and we've got a premiere of the teaser video below. It's called Family & Friends and this is what they have to say about it; [...]
Last year I cooked a Swedish Christmas meal for some of my Florida friends. And my friend Courtney's brother asked her before the dinner if Swedish meatballs actually exist or if they're just a myth. I thought that was so funny, so I decided to make y'all some Swedish meatballs in this window of the calendar! Watch it here Now you can all make them at home, and I promise they will taste way better than IKEA's. Oh and [...]
This Samantha Urbani-directed video for "VA FAN GOR DU" taps the '80s public access vibe cemented by bygone post-punk-centric shows like "No Wave Theatre" and "TV Party," but it's got enough gross-out humor to feel ... read more

Thankfully Friends haven't decided to release videos with a recurring theme or concept, otherwise jumping in right now with "Va Fan Gor Du" being your first taste would be seven shades of fucked up. There's a weird flasher guy, lots of really thick unibrows, a bunch of cross dressing, and all spliced together with what looks like scenes from The Sims video game. Really, though, what more do you want in a music video? Check out "Va Fan Gor Du" below, taken from the band's debut [...]
Watch 'Va Fan Gor Du' below. Manifest! is out now. Like Friends on Facebook. Click here to view the embedded video. MP3: Friends - Friend Crush (Phone Tag Mix)

Lo-fi Brooklyn punk-funkers Friends have devoted themselves to resurrecting a very particular sort of circa-1980 New York sleaze, and their vaguely NSFW new video for "Va Fan Gör Du" looks very much like the sort of zero-budget horror movie that an NYU student would've thrown on public-access TV way back in the day. Directed by frontwoman Samantha Urbani, it sheds light on the eternal bloody struggle between drag queens and unibrowed butchers. Watch it below. Read More...

Now that the holiday season is now upon us, it is with great pleasure that Timo Juuti & Hector 87 ( TJH87 ) kick off this month of December with a disco-frenzy ball that hasn’t lost any momentum since their last review on Aerial Noise. Linked with a music video to accompany their track called ‘Friends’ (which has been produced by DJ Skasi), TJH87 rocks the house a little bit more. TIMO JUUTI & HECTOR 87 - Cheap Bad Moves (TJH87 Dubstep Mistakes Remix) [...]

“ Why Don’t You Answer? ”, el track inédito, no es un tema original de los Fires , se trata de una versión de Eberhard Schoener y [...]
The new EP of Emil & Friends "Royal Oats" is out now on Kitsuné ! The package includes the eponym track “Royal Oats”, an exotic palette of musical moods, an eccentric musical journey released as part of the acclaimed Kitsuné AMERICA as well as the brand new track “Internal Affairs” with its slew synths and [...]
#7 - Circle Of Friends I'm going to perform all the songs from my new album " The Owls Are Not What They Seem " live from different places in the US during my tour and put them up on YouTube. This is the seventh track "Circle Of Friends" from the new album - performed in Washington State at The Olympia National Forest. The full album can be found here: http://music.sofiatalvik.com

Coming straight out of Brooklyn , New York it's Friends . The dance punk band came out with their debut album ' Manifest! ' this past June. According to the band's Facebook page, they list their genre as weird pop. Though I'm assuming the Brooklyn quintet were just having fun. They first came out with the hit single , "I'm his Girl" , which gained a lot of airplay in the UK . Either way, enough typing [...]

Loads of great tracks have trickled into our consciousness this week. Here are a selection of the best... Rhye ~ The Fall You may remember Rhye from the quite-stunning debut single that dropped earlier this year. Details about everything have been kept to a minimum, but we knew that The Fall is the title-track from a debut EP that will be released on November 12th via Innovative Leisure/Polydor. More up-tempo than Open ( see here ), The Fall [...]
As anyone who has read my blog over the years would know, faith has always been something I've struggled with. Not religion. Faith. Religion is just a fundamental twisting of the message into whatever considered or twisted way man wants to view the bibles of the world. Religion is about money, power and control in a large percentage of cases. Faith is about one's personal view why we are on this earth and what it means. Faith in many ways is about comfort, support and love. My struggle, of course, is faith in [...]
Episode 7 is now up and running. In this episode we get stuck in Boston traffic and you'll see some great New England Singer/Songwriters whom I had the pleasure of sharing the stage with, Christa Gniadek and Michelle Lewis. I'm on NBC's Mass Appeal and WERS Left end. You can hear the radio shows from the Boston area here ! Remember to share the episodes with your friends to keep them coming. It's tons of work making every episode and I'm doing it all by myself on top of bookings, promotion, playing live [...]

In 2008 I became the first female Swedish artist to play at the Lollapalooza festival. It was also my first US tour and now, four years later I've done a lot of tours and am on my biggest one ever. Since December I've done over 100 gigs in the US and I'm working my way towards Chicago again. So when an opportunity arrose to enter a competition for a slot at this year's Lollapalooza I felt I had to enter. But in order to make them understand that they should book me I need YOUR help. The voting [...]
Brooklyn 'it' band Friends took the time out of their busy schedule in Brighton at this year's Great Escape to perform the hit that broke them, 'I'm His Girl', for Bands in Transit. Not sure what is going on with Stephanie Urbani's, um, style of dress, but watch it below and form your own opinion. The band just released their debut album, 'Manifest!', on Lucky Number, and you can read Tom's review of the album here. [...]
Bearing in mind the sound of now seems heavily rooted in the 802s with its big drums, stadium sized moog synths and echoey guitars, we think we have found the coolest band to represent it. Cougar favourites Friends new video for the single 'Mind Control' is every bit as cool as it's predecessor 'I'm His [...]
