Perth’s Greyjoy (yes, that’s a reference to Game of Thrones) sound more in line with the future than the middle ages. The duo’s dazzling dream-pop can be best heard on latest track “Idle Hands”. Cloud-hopping synths, gorgeous dual melodies, and a dreamlike bass line are all used to help enchant us to be better humans. A funky, yet gorgeous display of when the imagination is truly endless. Though their name takes a cue from Game of Thrones , there's nothing medieval about Greyjoy . The Perth duo - comprised of Karlin Courtney and Matt Crockett - doesn't look much farther back than the 80s for inspiration, combining shimmering synths, Phoenix-like vocals and DIY production to whip up an entrancing brand of dream-pop. Case in point is their latest track "Idle Thoughts," which tosses a groovy bass line into the mix for good measure. Stream it below. MP3: Greyjoy - "Idle Thoughts"

Tyrion Tyrion is in the difficult situation of having to marry Sansa under Lord Tywin's orders while remaining in his secretive relationship with Shae. Shae's jealousy is growing by the day and the overwhemling pressure of having to be Tyrion's personal whore is baring down on her. Even though Tyrion is trying to persuade her to stop worrying she cannot help but think that their relationship is over and she will forever be on the back burner. With how things work in King's Landing Shae is absolutely [...]

MS MR: Secondhand Rapture - I may have stumbled upon MS MR in mid-October digging around for some new music, but I definitely did not teeter on the decision to keep listening-to the Brooklyn based duo. With a song played in the hit HBO series, Game of Thrones, and a single remixed by Scottish electro-pop band CHVRCHES, MS MR are tapped for success. MS, being Lizzy Plapinger who takes charge of the vocals and MR, who also goes by Max Hershenow mans the production and balance out this dream-pop, electronic twosome set to release their [...]

They don’t joke around – their music doesn’t aim to entice, tease or deliberate but get right into the strength of the song. The debut album from MS MR indulges in deep, heavy melodies with striking dynamics. It is a pleasant surprise to hear such soul from an electro pop release – mostly thanks to the husky, youthful voice of Lizzy Plapinger. The other half of the Brooklyn duo, producer Max Hershenow, has put on a splendid production brimming with glamour of pop but also with a tinge of grunginess. [...]

Arya Arya is still captive in the brotherhood without banners and is looking for some way out so she can find her brother Robb. Her companion Gendry has found his niche in the clan as their much needed blacksmith. But a new acquaintance has arrived in their camp and Arya is immediately hesitant of her. Read some of the most entertaining entries in this week's 'Thrones' contest.

Arya The episode jumps right into the trial by combat between the Hound (Sandor Clegane) and the leader of the brotherhood without banners Beric Dondarrion. As Beric lights his flaming sword the Hound seems to be taken off guard and absolutely petrified at the same time. Due to his long history with fire it seems like Beric has a little bit of an early edge. But in the end the Hound manages to hold his own and split the lightning lord right in half. Then comes the what the hell? moment of the episode. Thoros of Myr rushes over to Beric and starts whispering the word [...]
Find out how you can win a statue of the magnificent Tyrion Lannister.

Jamie & Brienne After the debacle in episode 3, it looks like Jamie has just begun his uphill battle through shits creek. With his missing hand tied around his neck, Jamie is forced to ride weak and famished on horseback with no way of securing himself. His tumble off the horse and into the mud pushed him far enough to the point where he fought back, but without his sword hand he pretty much amounts to nothing. Swinging and slashing but missing over and over again will get a lot more familiar to Jamie, as soon as he stops "crying like a [...]

Ghost Capsules - Game Of Thrones All my knowledge of Game Of Thrones comes from the occasional SNL skit and I will not start watching it no matter how often everyone’s raving about it since I do not have the time what with all the Broke, New and just Girls shows on my agenda, but I have taken the time to listen to the Ghost Capsules song with the same title and have not regretted it.
Wired examines the use of indie music on Game of Thrones . Still, combining a world of warring kingdoms and dragons with music from acts that would seem at home at Coachella is risky business. Consider the Hold Steady’s version of "The Bear and the Maiden Fair," which followed a very shocking and abrupt turn at the end of last night's episode. Depending on who you ask, its placement was either part of "one of the best cut-to-credits in recent memory" or "WTF," but overall reaction to the song has been relatively positive. [...]

New Orleans' Voodoo Experience turns 15 this year and organizers have decided to celebrate the milestone with a massive lineup. Robb, Catelyn Hoster Tully has finally passed and Edmure (Catelyn's younger brother) was chosen to light the pyre. Now that he has passed, Edmure will succeed him as Lord of Riverrun and be an vital ally in Robb's conquest as the King in the North. But his leadership can best be compared with his skill in archery as he unsuccessfully misses his father’s pyre 3 times until Brynden Tully a.k.a Blackfish nails it from a long shot to start off the episode. Robb is growing irritated with his lack of success in the West. [...]

As previously reported , The Hold Steady followed the brave footsteps of their neighbors The National and contributed a new recording to the third season of HBO’s Game of Thrones . Written by George R.R. Martin, “The Bear and the Maiden Fair”, as expected, sounds like the “boisterous tavern song” the Brooklyn outfit was always destined to create. It comes bottled with beer-swiggin' harmonies, tumbling guitars, and frontman Craig Finn's frantic demeanor. As our resident GoT expert Dan Pfleegor ( @Pfactotum ) explains, it's a pretty gratuitous song involving plenty of sexual innuendo about honey in [...]
This great track played over the closing credits of last night's Game of Thrones!!
SPOILER ALERT: A new Hold Steady song played over the closing credits of last night's Game Of Thrones . Does that count as a spoiler? It surprised the hell out of me. This comes on the heels of both CHVRCHES and Marissa Nadler covering the Game Of Thrones theme song; it also comes a season after the National recorded a song called " The Rains Of Castamere " for inclusion on the show itself last season. Tonight's episode of Game Of Thrones ended with one hell of a shocker, leaving all of us with our jaws on the floor. The shocking ended was followed abruptly - if not hilariously awkwardly - by The Hold Steady's new song "The Bear & the Maiden Fair." If you recall , The Hold Steady were asked by the show to record the song which was written by R.R. Martin, the author of the books which the show is based on, as well as the shows composer, Ramin Djawadi. The Hold Steady [...]
