So we just slammed Garbage in our previous post but this made us love Garbage once again. This is goose-bumpy. Filed under: Beats , Clip , Yankee Panky Tagged: album , garbage , gay , marriage , new , single , think
Filed under: News , Politics as Usual Garbage Facebook Garbage interrupted their concert Saturday night in Detroit to allow one man to propose to his boyfriend onstage. As shown on YouTube , singer Shirley Manson stopped the concert Saturday night at Detroit's Majestic Theater and brought out two men named Dominic and Scott to the stage. In the video Manson is showing holding Dominic and thanking him [...]

Photos by G. Shirley Manson of Garbage Garbage! One of the best bands of the 90s is back and kicking even more ass than ever. They played a sold out show at New York's Terminal 5 on March 22, 2013 and it was anything but garbage. The band played their first New York show in 7 years last May ( which I went to and was so awesome ), and they played 9 different songs last night than when they were last here! [...]

Photos by G. Shirley Manson and Geoffrey Dicker I love Shirley Manson so much, I don't even know where to begin. Perhaps in the mid 1990s when all I was interested in musically was New Wave, Classic Rock and Prince Bootlegs... The Alternative music scene which had become uber-popular did absolutely nothing for me and as a result, I lost out on seeing bands like Nirvana when there were many chances to check them out. But then I heard the voice of an angel (and formerly [...]

As 2012 comes to an end, we are taking a look back at some of our favorite posts of the year by our guest editors. Garbage is back. And the band's sound is the same—but different. Not Your Kind Of People (StunVolume) is the quartet's first album since 2005, and the distance has got Garbage's [...]

The only people who might be lachrymose will be Shirley Manson and Garbage because The Black Tears are well on the way to stealing their crown as one of the top female fronted alternative rock bands with their recent album 'Lacrimal Lake'. [...]

Filed under: News Getty Images for NYLON Scottish rockers Garbage awoke to a startling reality on Wednesday (Oct. 17), when they realized their Twitter account had been hacked by an internet troll. According to The Independent, someone hijacked the band's account and began tweeting hundreds of times, posing as an inebriated Shirley Manson . "Getting a lot of questions about what I'm drinking. Is it that [...]

Grabage's last two albums weren't really up to par, if you ask us. This is why we don't really get excited to listen to anything from the band. Don't get us wrong, we love their classics like "I Think I'm Paranoid," "Milk" and "Queer." But, they have just withered away in quality of song in our opinion. This is why we are not surprised the band is releasing a greatest hits collection titled The Absolute Collection . Click below for the tracklisting. 01. Cherry Lips (Go Baby Go) 02. Stupid Girl [...]

Filed under: News , Music Appreciation Dan Callister, Getty Every now and then weird criminal stuff happens in the music universe that seemingly never ends up getting punished. Like that whole awkward R. Kelly thing where he allegedly peed on a 14 year old girl and was subsequently charged with soliciting a minor for child pornography, seven counts of videotaping the acts, and seven counts of producing child pornography. But then, gosh darn, [...]
Garbage just released the video for "Big Bright World," the latest single from their spectacular new album, Not Your Kind of People. The strange and somewhat Gothic video features lead singer Shirley Manson as well as actual fans of the band in the underwater scenes. Buy @ Amazon Muruch Album Review Garbage Official Site

Garbage go a little bit religious and a whole lot of random in their new video for "Big Bright World", the latest single off their LP Not Your Kind Of People (which made our list of the 12 Best Albums Of 2012... So Far ). The video features tons of religious imagery mixed with shots of graves and people diving into water. What does it all mean? We don't know, but it looks creepy cool. The clip, shot by Julie Orser, is filmed in mostly black and white, save for a woman in red [...]

Filed under: Concerts and Tours , News Frank Yang By the end of the second day at the Osheaga Festival , as you approached the large schedule posted near the entrance of the event, it appeared that a fan had scrawled out the "Dogg" in rapper Snoop Dogg 's name and, of course, written "Lion" in instead. That was the night's big draw and main source of anticipation -- a headlining rapper who recently reinvented himself [...]
