Bringing merry wails from Wales, Los Campesinos! has an articulate, sometimes anguished but also humorous take on romantic relationships on Hello Sadness (Wichita). The lively and smart band from Cardiff has a definite collegiate intellectual bent. Lead singer/songwriter Gareth Campesinos emotes, jokes and bashes himself gamely throughout. Los Campesinos! are wrapping up work on their new third studio album. In a posting on the band's blog , frontman Gareth Campesinos! revealed that the band were almost complete, writing that they are currently working on the "final mixes with producer John Goodmanson ."
