We can't get enough of festivals here in the UK. Summer festivals, Winter festivals, and - right now at least - Spring festivals. Earlier this month, Hard Rock Hell hosted the very first Hard Rock Hell AOR and Hard Rock Hell Prog, and we were naturally on hand to photograph the whole shebang. When are the Misfits not the Misfits? Well, legally speaking, the Misfits are the Misfits as long as founder member and bassist Jerry Only is performing in the band. After all, he and Glenn Danzig fought legal battles over this stuff years ago. We've talked about Kvelertak quite a lot here on Thrash Hits recently. We published an interview with them earlier this week . Today we're publishing some photos from the Sheffield gig of their current UK tour. It's almost like they've got a new album to promote , or something. As with all our Sheffield gig galleries, it's our man Gary Wolstenholme  behind the camera. There's only a few because the Sheffield Corporation basically turned their lights down so low that Gary couldn't get any more quality photos [...]

One thing that we're truly blessed with at Thrash Hits is the number of top-level photographers who contribute to our site. We're not just shuffling hyperbole here - our snappers can regularly also be found gracing the pages of The Guardian, Rock Sound, Terrorizer, Big Cheese, Bizarre, and the BBC, to name but a few. And since we've been going over our greatest hits of 2012 these last few days, how could we not take a moment to look back at their greatest shots that have graced Thrash Hits during the last twelve months? About five minutes after  Gary Wolstenholme emailed us his incredible photos from the Sheffield show of Baroness' recent UK tour, we got the news that the band had been involved in a horrific bus crash just outside of Bath . And we were torn. We really wanted to show these incredible shots off to the world, but at the same time we didn't want to seem ghoulish and trying to capitalise on the publicity of the tragedy.
