The seasons haven't officially changed until you've cranked up a favorite version of this warm-weather classic. An epic live retelling of "Summertime Blues" by Blue Cheer - available here as an exclusive advance stream - should do the trick. Recorded for Rockpalast on April 11, 2008, Rocks Europe finds Blue Cheer in full flight, just a year before bassist/vocalist Dickie [...]

Aaaah! I'm back after a nice relaxing vacation and ready to get on the horse that is gigging again! I've just moved to Berlin, Germany, and will be touring in Europe for a while now. (Don't worry, I'll be back in the US before you know it) I've got two shows in Berlin in June and would love to see all my fellow Berliners there! The first one is at St. Gaudy Café on June 6th and the second one is at Playing With Eels on June 21st. More info about both shows [...]

To celebrate the first sunny days of spring, up-and-coming German electronic music producer Nicolas Janco, aka Parra for Cuva , is releasing a brand new EP featuring collaborations with fellow producer Mr Gramo and vocalist Anna Naklab. The 3-track EP, titled Fading Nights , strikes a perfect balance between pop, deep house, ambient and minimal. Naklab's beautiful heartfelt vocals sound mellow and soothing against the backdrop of hypnotizing beats, soaring melodies and ethereal synths. Equally influenced by Italian avant-garde pianist Ludovico Einaudi and British musician/DJ Bonobo, Parra for Cuva started his musical training with [...]
Good morning! Here’s a beautiful remix of Jay-Z ’s 99 Problems from Stuttgart, Germany’s, Konstantin Sibold. So smooth yet crispy, Konstantin lays a perfect foundation for Jay’s rhymes on this great remix .
If you have any doubt who the greatest singer in the history of metal, heck, maybe in the history of rock 'n' roll is, just pop this DVD into your player and fast forward to the second song. When Ronnie James Dio belts out the vocal of Deep Purple's "Mistreated," an in-his-prime Robert Plant bows to the mastery and original [...]
Described as techno without the technology, but their lo-fi minimalism offers so much more than can be described through genre labels.
Bibi Tulin, Hugo Simons and Wolfgang Scherman are anything but ordinary – and if you get the chance to listen their music, you'll definitely agree! The three friends formed (what I can only describe as) a bizarre group called MY WOSHIN MASHIN. The band came to life in 2010 when Russian-born Bibi Tulin and Simons left their previous band The post My Woshin Mashin – Evil Must Die appeared first on Nothing But Hope And Passion - NBHAP - Music Magazine & more .
It's pretty implausible to not go loco for mesmeric Mediterraneana on a day like today, and that's precisely what we've before our baying ears and prying eyes this morning as Chilean maverick Matias Aguayo returns with El Sucu Tucu – a manic ode to a chinchilla-type critter , or so an albeit inaccurate trawl of Google Images may well lead you to believe. Once renowned for his idiosyncratic brand of minimal techno commotion although perhaps most vividly remembered for his featuring as a key ingredient of Battles' Ice Cream belter from a couple years back, [...]

Elizabeth, the debut single from Berlin-based Indie-Folk band 'Charity Children', is a tribute to the unloved; a marching exaltation devoted to the downtrodden, bullied and supposedly weak. In 2011 the two lovers left their homeland of New Zealand to send their intimate melodies flying through the graffitied streets and smoky bars of Berlin. Elizabeth is the first single from their debut release 'The Autumn Came'. SOUNDCLOUD | FACEBOOK | WEBSITE Download Elizabeth

At the time, punk was thought of as the fast and rough stuff, with classic rock geezers like Ritchie Blackmore already relegated to the dustbin of history. Hardly. Rainbow's molten Live in Munich, recorded in 1977, zips along at a blinding pace. All these years - and a couple of previous reissues later - Live in Munich 1977 (due in [...]
Hey – We're THE FEVER. We like grinding guitars, bouncy bass lines, dirty synths, skin and black tape. Our chemistry is electric – explosive at times... Just ask our neighbors. Our roots are in L.A. but we're currently in Germany working on our first album (All DIY) and playing across the country wherever they're adventurous enough to have us. Our first, self titled EP will drop in a couple of weeks. Pleased to meet you all. Hope to see you soon – at a concert or in cyberspace. Connect with us on fb [...]

"This is our first and last time in London" Kaizers Orchestra ringleader and founder Janove Ottesen confesses before a seething throng, only to then revert to the safe haven that is his default Norwegian. I needless to say can't even so much as begin to comprehend that last bit, but he seems pleased with himself as he stands proud on the cusp of the stage – a Scandi hybridity of Mike Patton and Alan Smith. The Bryne ensemble, now in its fourteenth year of existence having formed at the dawning of this contemporary millennium, may be [...]
![GERMANY’S SIZARR SIND WIRKLICH GUT! [VIDEO]](http://cdn.elbo.ws/posts/4916708_lg.jpg)
Post-punk connoisseurs Sizarr come from a land called Landau in Southwest Germany. Consisting of three gents, the band delivers a truly unique blend of post-punk electronic, using various guitars, drum samples and synths and focusing their lyricism on controversial or darker matters such as suicide on the track "Purple Fried". The rhythmically-focused band released their debut album Psycho Boy in late 2012 and have since enjoyed some major success with songs "Boarding Time" and "Run Dry". Sizarr’s video clips, although simplistic, are extremely well edited and compliment their music style perfectly. [...]
