Birmingham songstress Laura Mvula has announced two Irish dates for late 2013. The Sing to the Moon singer will perform at the Olympia Theatre in Dublin and the Waterfront Hall in Belfast on 12th and 13th October respectively. Tickets for the Olympia are priced from €25.40, while tickets for the Waterfront start at £22.50, including booking fee. Trócaire have announced a mini festival as part of their 40th anniversary celebrations. Despite suggestions to the contrary, it seems as if Blur are still very much a going concern and, to prove the point, have a pretty hefty touring schedule over the coming months. This now includes Dublin, with a gig at IMMA, Royal Hospital Kilmainham on 1st August. Tickets go on sale this Thursday priced €62.50.

As broken by Jim Carroll this morning, the day's big gig news is that The National will be playing one of only a few European dates at Live At The Marquee in Cork on June 28th, their first Irish show since 2011 and a return visit to the city after eleven years. Tickets go on sale next week.
