Happy New Year! Almost, if you're in the US. Past, if you're back home in Blighty or beyond the Prime Meridian. Wherever it is, chances are you've heard everything from the sublime to the supremely cheesy, in terms of the music that's ringing in 2012. So, in answer to the latter - as well as the Christmas and [...]

This year I delved through nearly every album I listened to in 2011 to pick out my personal cream of the crop. This is probably my most comprehensive list of "best of" songs I've done for BWC thus far...Hope you guys enjoy. The top albums of the year should follow shortly! If there are any mislabeled, mis-tagged links, let me know and I'll get it fixed. I wouldn't be surprised if I muddled through a few misclicks or something trying to copy and paste everything over Tim Kasher // [...]

Punk rock titans Rise Against have mapped out a winter leg of U.S. tour dates in support of their most recent LP, last March's Endgame . Sandwiched between two separate UK and European treks as well as a string of radio station holiday shows, the band will launch the month-long road trip in Austin on January 17th. A Day to Remember and The Menzingers will serve as support throughout. Below, you can find Rise Against's entire upcoming itinerary, along with the video for their latest single, "Satellite". [...]
Glassjaw being announced to be playing Leeds and Reading Festival was a surprise, the fact they were playing pretty far up the second largest stage, the NME tent, was an even bigger surprise. Hey, ho, they played a great set albeit to a smaller crowd than I would have anticipated. If you weren't at either Leeds or Reading and didn't get to catch these guys rocking their stuff, don't fret, we've done the leg work and you can stream the majority of the set after the jump. First up is "Vanilla Poltergeist Snake" at the top with some both [...]
This past Saturday lucky Brits at Reading got to see Glassjaw and some HQ video from the festivals performance has surfaced. I thought I'd throw it up as I still think Coloring Book is a top 5 release of the year right now and that's saying something. They've done it again, those brilliant bastards. MP3 // GOLD [...]

Daryl Palumbo recently stated during an interview with Kerrang! that, "People are so hung up on us not having a full-length out that they're overlooking the fact that

Embarked on their first national headlining tour in years, Glassjaw came through the Starland Ballroom for one of the final shows drawing their tour to a close. With them, they
I was minding my own business Wednesday night just jeering Carmelo Anthony and cheering Danilo Gallinari, when a friend's friend whammied my world via donation of one single (!) blast of her super-weed. I knew the ganj was trouble cuz I immediately I began to hack, seize at my own chest, and think "Aw shit. [...]

Glassjaw is set to play Sayreville's Starland Ballroom this Saturday, March 26th. Want to go? Of course you do! If you don't already have tickets and can't scrap together the funds
Since their inception, Glassjaw's strength has always centered around a progressive approach to aggressive alt-rock and hardcore-derived music. While the majority of their songs have been go-for-the-throat rockers, it was the imaginative way the band doled out their fierce musical lacerations that stuck a chord with audiences. With the release of their new Coloring Book EP, however, the group has revealed a more ambitious agenda by settling on a surprisingly patient and reflective approach that relies more on developing a sense of space and constructing textured soundscapes than it does on brute force. Of all the [...]
11 minutes of straight up chillin' Gang Gang Dance's new album, Eye Contact , will be out May 10th. Sweet

Eleven minutes long. MP3: Gang Gang Dance - Glass Jaw

Glassjaw With all this talk on Radiohead, The Strokes, Arcade Fire, and whatever buzz band orbiting around the blogosphere; it pains me to see a certain band completely changing the game of the music business get ignored. Enter Glassjaw . If you're unfamiliar, the loosely categorized post-hardcore group has been influencing bands you probably hate since 1993. A large majority of the emo-core and scream-o genre can be blamed on Glassjaw's erratic and organized chaos of a record, 2000's Everything You Ever Wanted to Know About [...]
