Photography by Nate Cover It's not even contestable: 2012 belonged to Mr. Kendrick Lamar . Between topping many year-end lists with good kid, m.A.A.d. city and playing almost every coming summer festival imaginable, it's almost impossible not to have the young rapper on your radar. Hip-hop shows are tough, as it takes a lot for one to really stand out. I can honestly say that while having seen many hip-hop shows in my day, I can sadly count the number of great performances on one hand (with three of [...]
Lamar's long-awaited music video for "Bitch, Don't Kill My Vibe," has finally hit the interweb. The music video features cameos from Mike Epps and Juicy J. We've been hearing about this one for quite a while, but it looks like the final cut to Kendrick Lamar 's "Bitch, Don't Kill My Vibe" video has finally been made. With loads of religious references, Lamar employs serious tones with shades of humor. Such as the liquor baptism from comedian Mike Epps. Oh, and there is some product placement, too, as Beats By Kendrick's new product the Pill makes a cameo midway through the video. All-in-all, the video is shot incredibly well, and it is yet another reason to listen to this good kid, m.A.A.d [...]
King Kendrick premieres the video for his latest single "Bitch Don't Kill My Vibe." The scenes are simple, beginning at a funeral for a loved one before switching to a burial that turns into a jovial party. I'm going to let someone smarter than myself decide what the Mike Epps, "baptized in a pool full of liquor" and "Death To Molly" screen means.

Seeing as though we're all still knee-deep in the season of Everything Kendrick Lamar equating "YAAASS!!", of course, news of an official remix to "Bitch Don't Kill My Vibe" dropping sometime this year featuring the one and only Jay-Z would hit the ground topping many a personal list of Things To Keep An Eye and Ear Out For, nevermind the many times we've been burned in the past looking forward to a Hova cameo that ended up being more ho-hum than anything. Today marked the premiere of the highly anticipated remix in full, and [...]

You know that when a video starts with "All characters in this visual are entirely fictional. The events that occur are purely symbolic and should not be taken literal." shit is going to go down in a real way. And hence, the KENDRICK LAMAR bandwagon of extravagance and popularity continues. This time it's in the form of a brand new clip for 'Poetic Justice' (featuring Drake ) from his already massive good kid, m.A.A.d city album. It's a pretty typical format for a song of [...]
Kendrick Lamar 's good kid, m.A.A.d. city was arguably the best hip-hop record of last year - maybe even the last few years (sorry, 'Ye ). No matter how one looked at it, it was solid track after solid track, both in lyrical content and, especially, in the production department. To no one's surprise, it was one of our favorite albums of last year. One of the album's highs (though there were many) was the Janet Jackson -sampling, Drake [...]
Kendrick Lamar's album Good Kid, m.A.A.d City was definitely one of the best of 2012. No surprise that his visuals are just as good. Here he features Drake in Poetic Justice
One of the best songs from one of the best hip hop albums in recent memory got a music video today. Check out Kendrick Lamar's video for "Poetic Justice" below, off his album good kid, m.A.A.d city and featuring a guest spot from Drake. The track features a sample of Janet Jackson's "Anytime, Anyplace" and relies so heavily on it, it could be considered a remix of the track. It had been rumored that Kendrick was trying to get Janet Jackson for a cameo for the vid, and although that didn't happen, it still plays out the "fatal [...]
Kendrick Lamar - Poetic Justice (Official Video) Nothing more really needs to be said.
First thing's first: sadly, Janet Jackson does NOT appear in the "Poetic Justice" video, so anyone clicking on the above video hoping for some MILF action should keep stepping. But the newest video from Kendrick Lamar's good kid, m.A.A.d. city does have everything else: love, murder, and Drake using a cordless phone . Enjoy this and join me in prayer for a "Money Trees" video. Video: Kendrick Lamar featuring Drake - "Poetic Justice" |

After a long wait, Kendrick drops the video to his radio friendly single off his Good Kid M.A.A.D. City album. The song is certainly nice, but I'm not too sure about this video.
