As previously anticipated, Google yesterday unveiled their entry into the music-streaming market, revealing a product called Google Play Music All Access. The subscription platform, which costs $9.99 (£5.60) per month, offers users "millions of songs" ready for listening online. The system is much akin to market competitors like Deezer and Spotify, but is not yet available in an ad-funded free version. The product had long been touted, but Google had hit a roadblock negotiating licenc e deals with major labels. Now that Daft Punk have introduced him to a new generation of electronic music fans, Giorgio Moroder has decided to stay awhile. Though it already competes with services like Rdio (and to a lesser extent, Pandora and iTunes Match ) Spotify is the biggest all-you-can-eat music streaming service by far with more than 20 million users. Today, Google announced that they would be launching their own competitor for the service called Google Play Music All Access . However, like Rdio - but unlike Spotify who has an ad-supported version - Google is only offering this as a paid service - and at essentially the same $10 monthly [...]

The most user-friendly site online just got better. Less than an hour ago, Google announced their All-Access music service at an I/O developer conference. A 30-day free trial will conclude with a $9.99 charge per month. For users who sign up during June, the monthly price will drop to $7.99. This new service comes on the coattails of licensing deals with major labels Universal Music Group, Sony Music Entertainment and Warner Music Group. It is expected that this new service will compete directly with Spotify.

It'll cost $9.99/month, like Spotify, but there won't be a free option.

Google has completed deals with Sony Entertainment and Universal Music Group to launch two parallel streaming music services, according to several reports.
