A couple of months ago we showed you the first and new single of this very new band from Australia. Now we got their first album Old Life.

Those lovable goth rockers Grave Babies have released a new video for their single, "Fuck Off", from their recently released EP, Gothdammit , and boy, is it a doozy. Director Jordan Utley went all out at truly capturing the very essence of the band and the video's song using tongue-in-cheek gothic imagery like ghosts, Ouija boards, religious iconography and nightmarish figures. The Eternal Fall is a very strange band. I loved half the album and didn't like the other half at all. The great songs are light, punky trad goth, while the others petered off into mindless whining. I barely got through the first tracks on the album, "Beneath the Stars" and "You Are Always in My Mind." But "Always It's the Same" is a fantastic song. When listening to Nightchild's new single, "Dreammaster" I liked the music right away, but the vocals didn't grab me right away. I'm very glad I kept listening, because by the chorus, I was dancing along! The chorus is broad, and blasting, and I loved every note of it and the rest of the song! It’s odd to be able to describe a record like this as being “lively”, but as bleak and gloomy as Bestial Mouths appear to be here on their debut LP Hissing Veil , they play with a type of energy that throws most of what people have come to expect about goth/death-rock for a gigantic loop. As a band, Evanescence doesn't so much enter your world as it pulls you into theirs. Their soaring, high-drama theatrical goth angst is unflinchingly back on their self-titled third album (Wind-Up), the first released since 2006.
