Here's a live video of Grimes performing what I imagine will be her signature song, 'Genesis', from her debut album 'Visions' on Later Live with Jools Holland. The only distraction? An eyeball decal on her forehead. Not sure what that's about, maybe protection? She didn't need it, as she looks cool as a cucumber and completely in control, doing what she does best in this performance. We usually post two videos from Jools Holland on artists we choose to write about, but sadly Claire Boucher was confined [...]
Last week we were treated to an impressive lineup on Jools Holland with Alabama Shakes , Jack White , and Grimes , and this week's episode was just as good. St. Vincent played "Cruel" from her latest album "Strange Mercy" , Damon Albarn dropped "Apple Carts" from his "Dr Dee" [...]

Holy fantastic sandwich. Four major acts stopped by Later... with Jools Holland earlier this week and we have footage to share of all the fun that was had. Jack White , Norah Jones, Alabama Shakes and Grimes each took turns performing on stage before a live BBC studio audience. Had this show occurred in 1992 when Later debuted, if you weren't there in person to see it you would have been screwed, but thanks to Al Gore we now have global warming and the Internet, which affords us the luxury of [...]
The other night when Jools Holland aired with Alabama Shakes , Jack White , and Grimes , they played a few cuts from their respective albums and now the rest of their sets have made their way online. Jack White did "Blunderbuss" track "Hip (Eponymous) Poor Boy" , The White Stripes classic (and my personal favourite song of theirs) "Ball And Biscuit" , and a little interview with [...]

Last night the Canadian sensation that is Grimes made their UK TV debut with a performance on what was quite frankly the best way to spend your Tuesday evening, on Later... with Jools Holland. Claire Boucher performed beautifully and the performance can be enjoyed up at the top. Phew. More to come at the weekend once the full show airs on Friday. Visions is out now.
Earlier this year Canadian electronic alien pop princess Grimes released her critically acclaimed album 'Visions'. An album that has been playing on my speakers non stop since I caught it... [[ This is a content summary only. Visit my website for full links, other content, and more! ]]
Grimes did herself a great service in the great buzzband of 2012 stakes with this performance. It could have very easily fallen flat on its arse (a la LDR) and made anyone who has been championing her feel like a complete tit to the larger outside world watching her for the first time but you can hold your head high today internet. Not even the all-seeing eye hippy shit can ruin this one. Alabama Shakes were pretty good too even though I get the feeling 'Hold On' is the only tune I'll [...]
Did not know the Jools Holland had returned. Oops. Obvs not following the right peeps on Twitter. On last PM's show the GRIMES and her third eye took to the Holland HQS to perform GENESIS . On repeat for the next 3:48 minutes, thrice.

The eccentric Grimes stopped by Jools Holland earlier today to perform "Genesis," off the recently released Visions . This time she came with blonde hair and an extra eye on her forehead, but she handled business as usual and pulled off another great performance. Watch it below. Jools Holland 's show kicked off tonight with a bumper line-up of artists who've released some of the best albums of the year so far. Jack White played a couple of tracks from his excellent debut solo album "Blunderbuss" , Alabama Shakes played from their equally-as fantastic debut LP "Boys & Girls" , and Canadian experimental indie-electronic artist Grimes played from her stunning album "Visions" . [...]

It was a big night on Later... with Jools Holland with performances from Jack White , Norah Jones , Alabama Shakes , and Grimes . (Music trivia timeout: Three of these four acts have worked together? Can you name which ones?) Supporting Blunderbuss , which is out today, White ripped through "Sixteen Saltines" and "Freedom At 213. Norah Jones showcased "Happy Pills" from her new Danger Moused-produced LP, Little Broken Heart . Alabama Shakes performed "Hold On" from their recently-released debut, [...]
