From our interview with Grimes , we know that she's independent and quick with her production process, but in this video, we get to see it. Watch Grimes in the KEXP studio, surrounded by equipment and building her music from nothing. It's a beautiful thing.

Since the release of Visions Grimes has been just about everywhere and had a barrage of good press following her. Rightly so, and today we can continue to keep her beats and vox on our minds as she's visited KEXP to lay down a session in which we get to see some of her live energy, albeit a little reserved as she rotates between instruments and pedals. The expert interviewer already spent time with most of the young talent in hip-hop, but today he shares his conversation with one of our favorite indie songstresses, Grimes . Nardwuar is a a little odd for some peoples' taste, but we've come to learn that Grimes is pretty quirky herself, and the two seemed to get along well.
