He announced last night that he's throwing his own all-star boat concert next Friday, August 10th, at New York's Intrepid Sea, Air and Space Museum (aka the U.S.S. Intrepid). Officially titled StePhest Colbchella '012 — RocktAugustFest, the festival will feature The Flaming Lips, Santigold, Grizzly Bear, and fun., about whom Colbert cracked, "I hear their songs are a ton of band." Comedian Stephen Colbert has announced details for this year's Colbchella 2012 music extravaganza. ' The Colbert Report ' host announced details for what has now become an annual event on his show Tuesday night (July 31). Dubbed " StePhest Colbchella `012: RocktAugustFest " the one-day festival is set to take place August 10 aboard the Intrepid Sea, Air and Space Museum in New York. Grizzly Bear fans will be sad to learn that the band will no longer be appearing tonight (May 20) on the ' Late Show with David Letterman '. The band were all set to premier a new song, ' Ready, Able ', on the late night talk show and were to be backed up by a string quartet. Unfortunately producers for the show had to bump the band because they were short on time. Grizzly Bear frontman Ed Droste announced the cancellation on his Twitter page. [...]
