Having started this month with a great show from Grizzly Bear, I've been re-obsessed with their album Shields. In this video they chat about jumping back in the recording saddle, handing the music video duties over to directors they respect and connecting with the audience when playing live.

On August 2-4th, Lollapalooza returns to Grant Park for another year of ridiculousness. Perhaps the biggest headline is Chance The Rapper's closing set at the BMI Stage, Friday night. While it's no surprise the rising star is performing, a closing set is definitely going to turn some heads. The bill features headliners including, The Killers, Nine Inch Nails, The Cure, Phoenix, Mumford & Sons, Vampire Weekend and more. Other notable acts are Kendrick Lamar, Major Lazer, Ellie Goulding, Thievery Corporation, Grizzly Bear, 2 Chainz, Wavves, Bauuer, and the list continues after the jump. 3-day passes go on sale Wednesday.

Grizzly Bear 's  Shields  is a fantastic album. It's, in fact, so fantastic, that we decided it was the third best album to come out last year, which if you think about it is pretty remarkable. Part of the reason it was such a great album was the fact that it had some very,  very  good songs that stood alone individually. Grizzly Bear put their strange foot forward in the new Kris Moyes-directed clip for Shields track "gun-shy". Using all kinds of visual trickery, we witness a series of strange tests and procedures being conducted on the band members in a serene natural setting. Who knew there were doctors with outdoor practices? Shields , Grizzly Bear's fourth album, is out now. It's a great listen, so pick up a copy here .
