Grizzly Bear's video for "Gun-Shy" is a mesmerizing trip. Directed by Kris Moyes , it features the band going through some strange body extractions. Their skin, blood, hair, tears, and nails are removed by various means and captured all for the video. They premiered it on their tumblr today. Enjoy it below, it's visually stunning.

Grizzly Bear  have just released the Kris Moyes -directed video for  Shields  highlight "gun-shy" on their Tumblr. As you might remember from the last Kris Moyes video we shared (for  Kirin J Callinan's "WIIW," one of our favorite tracks and videos of 2012), dude's fond of piling .gif after .gif into a coherent, creepy narrative - here, Grizzly Bear pull out strands of each other's hair, shave off bits of skin, remove their fingernails, cry into buckets, extract their blood, perform acupuncture, etc., all in Moyes ' trademark .gifs. Today Grizzly Bear unleashed a brilliantly shot, stereoscopic new video for "Gun-Shy", from last year's Shields LP. The video sees the band undergo a series of bodily extractions, and it can be uncomfortable at times for the squeamish among us. Well this is...odd. Grizzly Bear has released the visuals for their latest track "Gun-Shy" and it's not for the faint of heart. Directed by Kris Moyes, the video features the band members undergoing various surgical procedures, removing their hair, nails, skin and blood from their bodies. The idea behind this comes from "extracting creativity," as Moyes says on the band's Tumblr: The idea came from a question:- if the creative energy of any living organism could be seen, what would it look like? We've already heard the Lindstrøm remix , and now here's the squirm-inducing video for Grizzly Bear's Shields song "gun-shy." Kris Moyes directs the video, and shows the band in all sorts of body-horror situations: Eyes melting, skin bubbling, veins jumping. There's a part about toenails that seriously queased me right out. And yet Moyes films everything in gorgeous bucolic early-evening light in the middle of verdant woods, its beauty making all these medical tricks somehow harder to turn away from. Watch it below. Grizzly Bear return today with a nice little holiday gift, packaged up in some weird wrapping paper. The strange holiday infomercial is seven minutes worth of an odd grab bag of images - tomatoes, taco meals, hot air balloons, and dogs playing poker - set to New Age piano versions of Shields cuts "Half Gate," "Sleeping Ute," and "The Hunt". It's entertaining in the "what in the deuce is going on" sorta way. And, no, you can't exchange it for a new iPad or Snuggie.
