I've tried on multiple occasions to get into Liars. I've found a large body of their material confusing and rarely accessible. "WIXIW" is different. Many layers that felt like complete chaos feels like controlled chaos on the latest offering from Liars. Over the weekend, London's Barbican hosted a career retrospective for the influential composer Van Dyke Parks , a figure who is best known for his work on the Beach Boys' SMiLE as well as more contemporary releases like Joanna Newsom's Ys . Grizzly Bear are dropping a new album on 17th September. We currently don't know its title. However, we do now have its opening track 'Sleeping Ute' as well as plenty of dates across a a world tour later in the year. It's an old-school whirling rocker and while we have no confirmation it sure does sound like it was recorded in analogue. " Saint Nothing " is taken from Daniel Rossen 's new EP Silent Hour / Golden Mile , out March 19 on Warp . Rossen says of the EP: "When you spend so much time touring around, you can lose perspective on what you're trying to do. All the sudden, I had no idea what to do or what to make or anything...These songs were a way for me to figure that out again, getting my legs back."

Grizzly Bear's Chris Taylor, the man masquerading as CANT , has made a video for "Too Late, Too Far," one of the pheromone-soaked polyrhythmic slinkers from his debut solo LP Dreams Come True . The Richard Peete-directed clip opens with some " ">Vomit "-esque automotive chic, and then some mystic woods, cinematic smoke, VHS weirdness and fabric monsters take over, making it like David Lynch directing a We Are The World video siphoned through an analog filter.
