We had announced earlier that the Micromax Arena would be visiting several college cultural festivals over the span of the year and will bring more Indian indie to college campuses. The Arena first went to Symbiosis Institute of Technology, Pune, for their college festival Reverb  and saw a headlining performance by New Delhi electronica band Midival Punditz  (Check out a full report here ). After having hosted the Escape Festival , Naukuchiatal will play host to another music festival this October. The all-new Aqua Jam Festival is being programme by Parikrama Inc, and will be spread over the course of four days at The Lake Village in Naukuchiatal, a venue that also features activities like paint ball, aqua ball and zorbing among other things. The festival will also serve as a platform to launch V-Play, a new initiative that will mentor and promote musicians who possess talent but little means to support it. The Gig Week 2012, running from September 2-8 in New Delhi, has finally released details about venues, lineups and confirmed dates. The festival looks massive and New Delhi folk are in for a treat. RockStock is a series of gigs that will kick off on Thursday, July 26 at the five Hard Rock Cafes around the country. Rock Street Journal and Lemp BrewPub and Kitchen are going to hold a battle-of-the-bands competition in New Delhi this July. The competition, which has been named 'Emergence', will be held at the Lemp BrewPub and Kitchen from July 11 onwards. The call for entries is now closed but bands would have had to send in one track, the band bio and a band photo for preliminary judging. Unmetal compilation Stupid Ditties is back with its fifth installation, Stupid Ditties V: 5 Times Stupid Still No Lesson . It will be launched with a gig on Sunday, October 16 at B69, Mumbai.
