A video has surfaced of a robotics team making a Jay-Z figure that Nas originally intended to hang at Summer Jam 2002. The clip portrays a team making an animatronic figure with Jay's face on it. Esco intended to hang the dummy during his performance at Hot 972s festival, but the radio station forbid him from doing it."
So...about that video that surfaced featuring the lifelike Jay-Z dummy that Nas was planning on hanging at the 2002 Hot 97 Summer Jam. MTV recently caught up with the Queensbridge native to discuss the video. But just as Hot 97 thwarted Nas' plans to "hang" the Jigga man, Nas thwarted MTV's plans to make it anything more than just some ol' bullshit. I put on the ‘ Au EP ’ knowing absolutely nothing about Mammal Club . The first couple of tracks seemed steeped in post-rock, thick with brash guitars: likeable but not groundbreaking.
