Highly relevant defunct girl group Danity Kane have unofficially unveiled their upcoming reunion via some grainy paparazzi footage and a mostly-dubious TMZ item, but let's just go with it because we all need a beacon of hope to cling to in these dark, dark days. Four of the five members — Aubrey O'Day , Dawn Richard , Shannon Bex and Aundrea Fimbres — were spotted having lunch with their new manager in Los Angeles yesterday ( D. Woods was too busy, or hates everyone, or whatever), and TMZ claims that "they plan to record and tour." [...]

Now "sources" have told a certain newspaper with a spotty track record that Bey is, in fact, pregnant again. [ New York Post ] :: Selena Gomez has confirmed that she and Justin Bieber [...]

Oooh it was set to be a good night, even on paper. Steve Gunn - Kurt Vile's buddy and extra Violator on this tour - filled an early, early set with layered, rich indie-blues - haven't heard a lot of that, these days. And none so good. Guitar and voice gave a dusty hug to the muttering crowd. Then San Francisco's Fresh & Onlys arrived, lookin' like each of them - singer/guitarist Tim Cohen, guitarist Wymond Miles, bassist Shayde Sartin and drummer Kyle Gibson - belonged in different [...]

It occurred to me yesterday that I've been running ANBAD for exactly five years now. I'm not sure what to celebrate the most: the fact that I managed to stick to the premise of writing (hyperbole) about a new(-ish) band (almost) every (working) day (except weekends and holidays) or the fact that I haven't gone clinically insane whilst doing it. A minor landmark moment like this always induces some soul-searching, or at least simple head-scratching. And five years is a long time online: Myspace was still the main online music resource, hashtags [...]

In conjunction with their “Crossing Wires” EP and full length compilation, My Favorite Robot are releasing a full length studio mix that’s indicative of the house, techno and nu disco sounds that make up the collection. The names of the Toronto trio are strong enough on their own (James Teej, Jared Simms and Voytek Koran), but the comp adds original tracks by the Revenge, Stefan Z, Inxec & Droog, Timo Maas, Tim Paris, Alan Fitzpatrick and more. Running at just over an hour, the mix slow burns for about the first 20-minutes until it opens up with Jonny [...]

There's a new Pet Shop Boys album, Electric , due out mid July and from the sound of their first single "Axis" (a rather awesome video was released at the end of April), the synth-pop champions are back in prime form. But you don't necessarily need to be a fan of the 802s band to enjoy this Boys Noize remix. Love the little acidic flourishes and nasty baseline. Tip of the hat to Mixmag for posting this up…good stuff, indeed. Follow Boys Noize on Facebook [...]

Backstreet Boys set off on a 20th Anniversary cruise last fall, and the celebration is still going strong, as the quintet just announced plans for an anniversary tour. Drum 'n' bass producer Aditya OX7GEN Ashok recently took a break from living in Mumbai and moved to the south of Goa for a couple of weeks. There are probably a ton of people waiting to work with Miley Cyrus , but there is one in particular who might get that chance.
