Ever since one of my all-time favorite rock bands, Earth, dropped the album Angels of Darkness, Demons of Light I , I've been anxiously waiting for the album's sequel to be released. As you might remember from my review of that album . I was a fan of the songs, but somewhat on the fence with the addition of cello in Earth's music. The mix, in my opinion, wasn't exactly complementing this new instrument, making the overall sound of the record somewhat muddy. From what I'm hearing, that issue seems to be cleared up a bit. [...]
STALLONE by Stallone When guitarist Juan Montoya left the stoner metal group Torche, my heart sank a bit. His playing is part of what attracted me to the group, and I've been wondering if I'd ever come across it again. Well, I can now praise the stoner/sludge/doom metal gods, because Montoya has assembled a new group, Stallone, and they've got a new, free self-titled EP out on their Bandcamp . The recording on these three tracks isn't stellar, but the message and the heaviness comes across pretty well. The monstrous [...]

This week we bring you a new release from the Colorado Crunk Skunk, Dan Scheidt AKA "Papa Skunk". This is Dan's third release on our label and he keeps getting better and better. His first release "Bluntastic" is still one of our best selling releases on Addictech, competing well with NastyNasty and Blunt Instrument for the top spots when it came out, a nice introduction of the skunk into releasing music. After that most of the singles off his second release "AM or PM" made their way well up the glitch-hop charts on Beatport and now we bring you Dan's third EP, "Green Zone". Green Zone opens with [...]

Set It Free and their self-titled album are great. They mix up the metal and hardcore genres but use clean vocals instead of screams. It makes it seem 802sish. Its a new kind of heavy when using clean vocals. "Home Alive" starts off the album. The first thing coming through my mind is some awesome metal music with screams. Instead I get a clean Escape The Fate sounding band. I was taken off guard because the music is so heavy, but as I kept on listening, it grew on me. I can no longer picture this song [...]

This Dealta Heavy remix is pretty killer. Its long , yes, but the layers of the song build quickly, keeping the track entertaining. The remix is better than the original, but Must Be The Feeling has its moments. Delta Heavy takes what Nero did for the song and make it House-ier. The beeps don't get annoying like they can in most songs they're used in. Download and follow Delta Heavy, they're sick.

So most of you have heard about the epic Re: Generation project that's been the in works for the past few months. It connected some of the nation's biggest upcoming talent with some of the nation's greatest iconic musicians. The Skrillex and remaining members of The Doors collaboarion 'Breakn' A Sweat' turned some heads, and became an instant favorite amongst a ton of you. Well now we get electro beast Zedd's new remix on the track that kicks it up a few notches. It was already pretty epic, but now is suited for the club. Check out this new version, [...]

Rooftop Runners start us off slow and heavy on "Bang Bang". The Berlin gents display an extreme amount of control, never letting the track step outside of the mood it establishes from the get-go. As a couple of us here on the site dream of one day becoming music supervisors in TV/film, it's easy to imagine this song being played in a scene on a mid-summer day in Arizona; sun glaring; dry heat; and open terrain, just as the new bad ass in town slowly exits his El Camino; Aviators shining and cigarette-a-burnin'… [...]
Genre: Tech House, Tribal, Groove. GBDB Morning Song released by Ospina and Oscar P on HEAVY, includes remixes.

Zeds Dead are really carving a path of their own in electronic music. Today I've got their entire new Adrenaline EP that just got released on Beatport. We got the exclusive on "" off the EP. Well the other 3 tracks on this 4 song EP are equaly as brutal and epic. It ranges from some brutal electro house to the more funky sounding Drum and Bass styled tracks. All the tracks have that signature unique dark crunchy Zeds Dead bass filled sound that I can't get enough of. Enjoy streaming the entire thing below, and be sure to support them by [...]

Hairs on the back of the neck… Why was this never released on vinyl?

So today I've got one of the filthiest, heaviest tracks I've heard in awhile. It's one of the most brutal electro house remixes by Brazillian Darth and Vader. They decided to remix Afrojack & R3hab's already heavy anthem Prutataaa. It sounds similar to the original, then crushes sooo hard. I also included the original to check out. Both of these tracks are for sale only, so if you dig them support the artist and pick em up. Turn up the bass, enjoy! Afrojack & R3hab - Prutataa (Darth & Vader Remix) | Purchase through Beatport [...]

For those of you who dug Quicksand, but always felt that they could have been a bit heavier (or something), then you should probably give Kowloon Walled City a spin. If you happen to name your band after an enclosed city in Hong Kong that was once a military fort during the 19th century, you're probably both a genius and also a metal band -- at least logic would lead me to believe so. I can't sit inside this fort (aka my house) and tell you that I know too much about metal and sludge rock (I love [...]

Getting news about a new GRiZ track is like hearing you've got a christmas present coming, that you already know is going to be amazing. He never seems to disappoint me with every track and remix. Today I've got his first venture into the super heavy styled dubstep. It's called Shogun, and it's pretty epic. It's cool seeing GRiZ jump around from genre to genre, and doing it well. His Kanye West Moombahton track was so catchy, and now makes this. The drop really reminds me of the heavy Doctor P sound, and continues being sick all the way through. Cant' even [...]

Let me just say, you have to listen to this song all the way through, and it really sound like nothing I've ever heard. It's a foreign vibed moombahton BANGER from Sticky K called "Persian Algebra" put out on Mad Decent (Diplo's label). This track has your classic Moombah jungle sounding intro, then builds up and drops sooo CRUNCHY. The bass on this track is so full and filthy it gets you moving in a way you never thought possible. It's hard to explain the emotions you get when you blast this song, so just find some massive speakers or [...]

Skrillex remixes are always an interesting thing, considering his sound has such a remix vibe to it already. Well today I've got a electro house take to one of the most recent anthems 'Kyoto ft. Sirah'. This remix starts with a bunch of chopping up the original, letting you know it's defintely not the original, then drops to a filthy hard hitting electro house drop. The new electro house version works well. Turn it up, enjoy! Skrillex - Kyoto ft. Sirah (gLAdiator Remix) | Direct Download | Mediafire [...]

Excited to bring you a brand new, completely free 5 song EP from two people who contributing to the shaping of the genre dubstep, Skream & Benga. These two producers have been in the game since the early 20002s. Skream's been acclaimed for taking dubstep in a more melodic direction. This EP is amazing, and even though I'm honestly only really in love with 5 of the tracks, those 3 hit so hard. The bass is so massive and full on these songs it's a little unreal. They all have an almost dark feeling to them. Turn it up, enjoy! [...]

One of my favorite things to post up here, is new versions of classic tracks that you know. Well today I've got a new track featuring a sample from the 902s hit, Chumbawamba - Tubthumping (Get Knocked Down). It's from the duo of electro house producer Acetronik & mashup artist 3LAU who brought you the recent Journey mashup. Now the 902s sample they use may not be your favorite 902s anthem, it's a track most of you will remember, so it's only right it gets turned into a sick new dance banger. It's got just enough of the original to [...]

Today I've got an epic 90 minute mix from the talented producer who's been continuing to make waves in the electronic scene.
