I would think the purpose of sending out a blanket blast of promos is to get someone's attention, get your album reviewed, and use that press to build up more excitement for your band. MUSIC NEWS - Black Sabbath drummer Bill Ward says he won't take part in the British band's reunion recordings and tour unless he is offered a "signable" contract. Black to Gold by Christian Mistress "Black to Gold" is one of two tracks to drop from the forthcoming Christian Mistress album, Possession . This outfit may be from Olympia, Washington, but they recreate that classic British heavy metal sound as if it's coursing through their veins. Motorhead's sixth live album is packed with great material, plus a DVD.

I couldn't not post this new track from White Rabbits , because the video is super rad and the song might be even better. These guys have come a long way since their Cold War Kids-esque "Percussion Gun" period. Here the beat slips into a slick groove and never comes back out, the perfect hype track that leaves you wanting so much more. Their third long-player Milk Famous drops on March 6th.
