Ladytron gets their Druid on in the video for "Mirage."

Photos by G. Helen Marnie of Ladytron and G The other day, England's electronic 4-some Ladytron came to New York to play a show. I was lucky enough to meet the band. Everyone in Ladytron is so cool. There were several die hard Ladytron fans with me who had a very nice collection of rare singles and collectible items and the band graciously signed them. Mira and Reuben were actually so impressed with some of the items, they actually took photos of us posing with our [...]

Photos by G. Helen Marnie of Ladytron Ladytron! My first time seeing the British synthpop band was on October 8, 2011 at New York's Terminal 5. VHS or Beta opened the show and got the crowd ready to dance. Ladytron took the stage around 9:30 and in additon to a great performance, there was a great light show. Ladytron has 2 females and 2 males. Helen Marnie sings most lead vocals and Mira Aroyo also sings lead on a few songs. The 2 guys Reuben Wu [...]
Ladytron's moody synth-pop stylings had the Regency Ballroom rocking on a Sunday night in San Francisco.

Ladytron have always been an elusive group, successfully releasing quality yet ostensibly unheard albums for years and with Gravity the Seducer , their fifth full-length, they make no exception. Noticeably lighter than previous releases, this is by far their dreamiest recording to date. This album sets itself apart from its predecessors starting with the very first track off the very first song. With the opening notes of "White Elephant", there's a more psychedelic and quasi orchestral feeling, which suits the group well and continues throughout. The music here could possibly be described as dance music for the dance-less. There are no songs that [...]

Ladytron's ability to generate an etheral, alternative electronic reality comes across trippy and clear on Gravity The Seducer (Nettwerk). Comprised of four members who met in Liverpool, the well-rounded two-female two-male foursome's music has a feel of a 19602s girl band gone dark, plugged in, taken to a haunted house and filtered through the "fantasy" setting on a keyboard. The release comes on the heels of the band's greatest hits album spanning active years from 2000-2010. Ladytron has a definite lock on the chilly appeal of New Wave that can be moodwise either get up and dance or sit back [...]

Photo Credit - Michele Civetta. 'Melting Ice' By Ladytron . ' Moon Place' By Ladytron. ************************** Brian Eno once described Ladytron as a band who posses " a full awareness of what's happening everywhere in music which is interwoven to produce something quite new " they are, he went on to say, " the best of English pop music." And after revisiting the band's recent career retrospective it would be rather difficult to [...]

Imagine yourself being magically whisked away to Transylvania. And that's only the beginning of how this new Ladytron will make you feel. Gravity the Seducer is darker, stronger and possibly the best full length album by this lady band yet. Because, let's be honest, while there's a lot of great tracks from The Witching Hour , there always seemed to be something missing. But with this one, there aren't any regrets. Violins, harpsichords and the dark emotionless vocals from Mira Aroyo and Helen Marnie make [...]
Tweet "Surrender with me We're walking in our sleep, I won't come around for you Leave the story at the shore, In case you thought it done I guess it is we're so modern" The evolution of Ladytron continues and it has been quite stunning to see how far they've come and how much they've grown over the last decade or so. From the 8-bit wizardry of Playgirl to now with the forthcoming release of [...]
![[Listen] – New Song By Ladytron – "Ambulances"](http://cdn.elbo.ws/posts/3570018_lg.jpg)
Tweet Ladytron has just released another new single from their upcoming album, "Gravity the Seducer", called "Ambulances." The track definitely won't disappoint Ladytron's cult-like followers. The track is dramatic with airy and eerie lead vocals, a sick synthesized loop that plays throughout, and choir-like back-up vocals sung by Mira Aroyo. Ending with an intense build up that plateaus, the track leaves you wanting more. The lyrics themselves are a little creepy as if Ladytron is the new Reaper, coming to take away lost souls. [...]
Tweet Good Lord... Who are you and what have you done with Ladytron?! This is simply beautiful... The good folks over at Nettwerk were kind enough to post a new song taken from Ladytron's forthcoming opus Gravity The Seducer. This one is called Ambulances and it is absolutely transcendent. Helen Marnie never sounded so otherworldly. The voice of a siren serenading us through a lush backdrop of pitter-pattering drums and soul-caressing synths sending chills down the spine. All is well until 2.43 in and all hell [...]
Hitting the mailbox is fun. What makes it even more so is when you come up with golden nuggets like this new single by Swedish electronic pop trio Daybehavior called It' s A Game. A slice of dance-pop heaven that reminds me of a late 80s Pet Shop Boys tune sung by a chanteuse with the vocals of a Sarah Cracknell from Saint Etienne and Helen Marnie from Ladytron would sound like. It sounds like a tune that I will be playing again and again whilst prancing around in my loft. I highly recommend you take the opportunity [...]

The Faint and Ladytron are currently on a co-headlining US tour. They played two dates at Webster Hall, alternating the headlining slot. I caught Friday night's show where Ladytron headlined, and I have to say, when you compare the energy levels of each band's set, it seems clear that The Faint should be holding that headlining slot. I enjoy Ladytron, but after getting pumped up and shaking my ass to The Faint's set, that whole disaffected head bob thing didn't work out so well. Okay, maybe I wiggled my [...]
