The Super Bowl halftime show is, despite recent history, remarkably gay , according to Slate. The early shows may have featured old-fashioned university marching bands, but by Super Bowl V, Carol Channing was headlining. By Super Bowl XXVI, Brian Boitano was figure-skating onstage, with music by Gloria Estefan. There's still no excuse for the Black Eyed Peas, however.

Same person, different bodies? To be or not to be... gay. That is the question. And according to one of my friends, one whose opinion I not only value but usually agree with, it's a question whose answer -- along with everything that we are, beyond the physical -- is determined solely by our environment. In other words, just as the language(s) with which we are raised determines the one(s) we end up speaking, the environment in which we grow up determines the gender we end up wanting to sleep [...]

You'd think that starring as J. Edgar Hoover, one of the most controversial men of the 20th century, in J. Edgar would be Leonardo DiCaprio's ticket to the podium on Oscar night. Right? Wrong. Probably not with Brad Pitt ( Moneyball ) and George Clooney ( The Descendants ) in the running. And definitely not with Meryl Streep expected to finally bring home the gold for the third time for playing former British Prime Minister [...]
If you took advantage of yesterday's $40 flight deal courtesy of Southwest Airlines, you might want to pack your iPod for the flight if you're easily offended. Your captain may be prone to going on a tirade about "gays, grannies and grandes." Such was life for particular pilot - who has remained nameless in the investigation - who was displeased in the lack of action from flight attendants and was relating his past month's events to his co-pilot in a profanity-laced rant. The only problem with his personal conversation was he accidentally made it public to all [...]
Kid needs some rest. I promised myself early last week that I was going to take it easy for a while and then I fell back into the habit of going out and staying out late for too many successive nights. Maybe this week we'll see some laid back nights. Starting tonight. I've got some [...]

I just read some story about Tracey Morgan going on some homophobic rant during one of his standup routines. Basically, he said that he would murder his son if he turned out gay, because you 'learn how to be gay' from the media: Following the performance by Mr. Morgan, the comedian and "30 Rock" co-star, at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville on June 3, an audience member named Kevin Rogers described the show in a Facebook post titled "Why I No Longer 'Like' Tracy Morgan – A Must Read." Mr. Rogers, [...]

Police photograph of Bobby Britt and his party guests at his flat at 25 Fitzroy Square, January 1927 At one in the morning on 16th January 1927 Superintendent George Collins of the Metropolitan police knocked on the door of the basement flat at 25 Fitzroy Square. A woman called Constance Carre eventually answered and Collins told her that he had a warrant to arrest the occupants. 'Mr Britt was going to give us a Salome dance,' she said, as if the answer would send them on their way. Ignoring her the Superintendent and his [...]

Merry Christmas, Everybody. The pictures and video from last night's shenanigans are beginning to filter in, very slowly, so you'll have to wait to see the really good stuff. The night turned into a shit-show very early. There was me, the mouse. There was Tom, the lion. There were two pixies with LED lights and tiny stereo speakers on their wings. There was Zach in a cow hat, Pat in a rabbit mask, Ken, Katie, Arthur, Kelsie, Autumn, Shaun, Erin, and probably others I'm forgetting. We started our pub crawl in the Los Feliz neighborhood, at Ye Rustic Inn. My [...]
Ted Cox goes undercover for Good Men's Magazine at a Mormon gay-to-straight conversion camp . And what could be a glib or condescending article (these types of undercover articles always strike me as an unnecessary gimmick and borderline exploitative, but sometimes it is necessary to gain access a reporter otherwise wouldn't get) is in actuality pretty touching. For the most part, I dodge the group's questions. But when pressed, I try to answer their questions with as much truth as possible. I use the same cover story since I began attending ex-gay programs: [...]

Could the over-appreciation of trends and styles be fashionable...or fassy boy? A friend and I spoke on this two weeks ago, as it relates to male R&B singers, and Killer Mike and I had a similar conversation yesterday. "it seems, the onset of blogs (and the ultimate re-blog of that one blog post) and certain famous men who have suddenly been bit by the high fashion bug who also make it a habit to vent their emotions on every public platform possible are to blame. "as a straight girl [...]

From what I understand, homosexuals are second class citizens in the United States of America. When they serve in the military, it is kinda unchill because the American government doesn't want 'fuu fuu' fighters to ruin the rest of the straight troops who are 'killing machines. Not sure if I 'get' it, but as u know 'better safe than sorry.' Don't wanna lose any wars just because we have homosexuals in the military. U never know if they might 'ditch out' on fighting, hit up a gay bar, do tons of poppers, have casual sex with [...]

In this video, some alternative homosexuals seem to be 'brawling' over serious issues. Seems like a very intense fight over something they are passionate about. Maybe one of the bros is like 'Gays shouldn't be allowed 2 marry', then 1 of the other gay bros is like 'aw hell naw. We need 2 be able to marry.' But then the other 1 is trying to explain how 'marriage' is bullshit, some sort of societal crap that only exists for religious/tax reasons. Seems hard to be an alt homosexual. Vibes [...]

Just wanted to go to Target, pick up some groceries, snacks, maybe some lunch meat so I can save money during the week by 'bringing a sack lunch'. Feel like I have tons of solid options at target for healthy, affordable choices. Moderately-fresh produce [via bag of lettuce/spinach]. Three 12-packs of soda on-sale. Milk, juice, ice cream. New toothbrush. Deodorant. Maybe buy a DVD, relevant Top 40 rock album, and a Nintendo Wii game. Could even maybe pick up some clothes that were 'fashionable, yet affordable.' Kinda [...]
I don't have much to talk about tonight. I'm feeling kind of out of it. And by that I mean I'm a little depressed. Not in a "I'm going to down a bottle of painkillers!" way, but in more of a, "Jesus I need to figure my shit out!" kind of way. Though I probably wouldn't mind the painkillers. Anyway, I have a busy week ahead of me. I guess it's good to clear my mind of stupid thoughts and, well, focus on sports and getting drunk: there's the Red Sox game on Tuesday night against the Angels [...]

Link: http://www.sfbg.com/noise/2010 /06/25/attack-biebians In the past 5 years, Justin Bieber has emerged as one of the best tween sensations in the history of the world because he is 'more blackish' and 'more down 2 fuck' than the Jonas Brothers. Due to his swoopy hair and tweeny Am Appy hoodie, he incidentally ended up looking like a genre of lesbians-the kind who are trying to look like a tweenage boy. This has caused many 'internet memes' based on lesbians + tweens + Justin Bieber, causing every1 to 'lol' cuz [...]

Wow, he is very well researched! We wonder how many hours of work and experience it took for him to come up with all that. Some African conservatives are going crazy following the release of the Malawi couple unjustly jailed for being gay. Now, leave it to the perverted conservatives to equate a simple matter of love to coprophilia. This is coming from Uganda. Doesn't Uganda have other issues to discuss. Sitting around talking about fisting is fun, but how about the country's record of human rights abuses or corruption? Filed under: Chuckle , Meanies , [...]
Big Whup's first self-released single shows the time and care they put into this project—from the nudie sleeve art, the hand-stamped labels and the clean-yet-dynamic recordings—and features two so-called A-sides, giving a side to each singer. This is a great single—not only because each of the songs are catchy and memorable, but also because it showcases two different voices and the diversity of sounds they can create.

Out favorite childhood comic have decided to extend their diverse character line-up from the occasionally-reappearing Nancy (the only black girl) to a full-blow gay male. The character, Kevin Keller, will enter the comic very soon as a new friend of Jughead's who out-eats him in a competition. Later on in the story Veronica Lodge falls for him and he admits his gayness. Yes, Riverdale is getting a full-blown queen. It is not clear if Archie Comics did this move in order to portray a diverse set of characters for the new generation, or if they need some publicity or new [...]

Livin La Vida Loca was a 'cultural sensation' back in 1999. The singer of the song was Ricky Martin. Every1 called the MexiWave movement the 'Latin Invasion' because Latin aesthetics took over pop music. Unfortunately, Ricky Martin's career 'tanked' but he made a lot of money and gets to make love to tons of dudes, but he never really 'came out' as a bro who liked other bros in a homosexual way. Can u believe Ricky Martin is 'gay'? Do u think he is an 'ass hole' 4 staying in the closet 4 so [...]
