Montevideo . Not just the capital of Uruguay, but also the name of a well organized 4-man Belgian group. Coincidentally, Montevideo is also the name of a dressage horse, which is interesting since the group has capped their new single "Horses". The original already includes a very classic disco dance feel, but Mickey kicks up the Moroder-style italo bassline to the max on his rework. Check out Mickey's Re-Work below:

More disco delights are heading are way from new label Smile Recordings. After the release of their EP 'Tribal Dance' through Relish Recordings, Montevideo are back with a stunning follow up single 'Horses' recorded at the 'DFA' studios in New York. They are currently recording their follow up album, which will be released sometime in 2012. The brussels-based band have enlisted Joakim Bouaziz, who has had releases under his producer name Joakim on his own imprint Tigersushi as well as remixes for artists such as Air, Tiga, Dj Mehdi, Metronomy, Royksopp amongst others, to produce the album. Leeds quartet Pulled Apart By Horses have today announced the release of their new single 'V.E.N.O.M.' - which will be the first single to be released since they started working with legendary Pixies producer Gill Norton. The single will be released on 16th January through Transgressive Records on both digital and 7", featuring two B-sides. Additionally the band will also be touring from mid February next year and will no doubt be road testing more new material ahead of their second album being released. Everyone's favourite screamo-indie rockers, Pulled Apart By Horses , have unveiled their first new material since last years self-titled debut record. V.E.N.O.M is released digitally on Monday 14th November and on 73 vinyl via Transgressive Records on January 16th.
