I've tried on multiple occasions to get into Liars. I've found a large body of their material confusing and rarely accessible. "WIXIW" is different. Many layers that felt like complete chaos feels like controlled chaos on the latest offering from Liars. Hot Chip recently visited Zane Lowe's BBC Radio 1 show for an in-studio session, during which they covered Prince's "If I Was Your Girlfriend," his classic track from his 1987 Sign "O" the Times . You can stream the entire show over at BBC's official website , with Hot Chip's cover starting at the 1:19:50 mark. You're a fool if you don't love Hot Chip's "And I Was A Boy From School" That song's nearing classic status. Goddamn Electric Bill (what a name) seem to agree with me. They recorded an instrumental cover of it, and it rules. The renamed song "Girl From School" and gave it a different look, but it's just as chill as the original.
