Their video Look At Where We Are is already featured as our video of the week, but Hot Chip seems to be living in front of a camera these days. They just cranked out the visuals for " How Do You Do " (from their last album " In Our Heads ", a mellow, slightly electronic track, the unassuming quality of which is echoed by this very amusing video full of vintage special effects and kitsch imagery - directed by Rollo Jackson.

Even though Major Lazer basically pursues any sound they want, you can essentially boil it down to two categories, ridiculously hype and laid-back mellow.  Guns Don't Kill People...Lazers Do  found the group pounding out club bangers, some of them legendary , punctuated with the occasional reggae inspired tune, which were arguably the most rewarding tracks on the album. Last night Radio One debuted a brand new remix from Major Lazer of Hot Chip 's track, "Look At Where We Are". As to be expected Major Lazer have given the track a kick up the backside and turned it into an energetic little number worthy of an early morning dance. Check it out above.

Diplo 's Major Lazer has remixed Hot Chip 's latest single from their great In Hour Heads album, "Look At Where We Are." We, no doubt, enjoy the dubby swagger and the rallying phasers injected into the song, but our favorite moment in the remix is when Alexis Taylor's voice is isolated in the middle and the Major lets the song's gorgeous melody run through unadulterated. Joe Goddard of the famed indie band Hot Chip stopped by the Boiler Room to spin 45 minutes of some of his favorite grime tracks. Of course, we are familiar with Goddard's eclectic music offerings from past experience, but this shows off yet another side of his artistic palette. I am not well-versed in this realm of music, so not everything is immediately recognizable, but bass and uptempo rhythms are definitely at the forefront here. Extra grimy, if you know what I mean. Give it a spin and get crunk, it is Friday, ya'll.

One exciting name in electronic music remixing another. Of course it's good. It's Goddard. The low humming bass reminds me a little of "I Go Hard I Go Home" by The Presets. Hot Chip released In Our Heads a couple weeks ago and it's got some solid dance tracks for fans. If the two songs that leaked before the album hit stores didn't spark your interest, check out another tune called "Don't Deny Your Heart". I'm a fan of these guys. "Don't Deny Your Heart" is a stellar example of the impressive dynamic Hot Chip has going for them on nearly every one of their albums. Yeah, these guys wear their influences on their collective sleeves. They make music that's really accessible, fun-loving, and just easy to listen to as well. However, I'd argue they still maintain their own commendable personality through it all.

Like many artists have done before them, UK outfit Hot Chip have taken over BBC Radio 1 for a full two hours to deliver a selection of tracks that they feel are essentail listening.
