Last night's performance on Jimmy Kimmel live from Hot Chip has confirmed a notion that I have long believed to be true since I first saw the UK act open up for LCD Soundsystem last year. Hot Chip might be the best live act going right now. The Kimmel stage proved to be on the dwarfish side for the mammoth electronic beat thumpers. Hot Chip are growing up before our eyes. The fun party band use to just go out for kicks, but something struck me a little different on "In Our Heads," the latest album from Hot Chip. The HOT CHIP 's latest long_one required a few extra spins and then last week on holidays it strongly connected with me and is potentially gonna go down as an 012 fave. With the ?UESTLOVE on drums, the Brit electro-poppers took to the Jimmy Fallon show last PM to perform DON'T DENY YOUR HEART , you'd be silly not to watch.

I really HATE saying anybody "killed it" anywhere, but Hot Chip "killed it" on UK's Jools Holland yesterday. Their forthcoming album, "In Our Heads,” will see the light of day on June 11. Check out their tour dates below and I'm hoping they have fill in some slots between their Canada and Mexico journey, namely like playing here in Denver.
