The first music video that British comedian Pe­ter Ser­afi­now­icz ever directed was the amazing, hallucinatory one for Hot Chip's " I Feel Better ." And now the director and band have teamed up once again, making a similarly batshit clip for Hot Chip's new single " Night And Day ." It would be an act of rank spoilerization if I described anything that happened in the video, but it does star legendarily badass British actor Terrence Stamp, beatboxing comic Reggie Watts, supermodel Lara Stone, a roomful of dancing monks, and two weirdly complementary spaceships. Hot Chip have enrolled the skills of funny man Peter Serafinowicz to direct their visual accompaniment to "Night & Day". The video includes dancing, a UFO of sorts which then crash and all kinds of weirdness you'd come to expect from Peter. Check it out at the top and look out for Hot Chip's new album In Our Heads which is out on June 12th via Domino Records.

A great surprise for the new week! Hot Chip unveiled a new video for their latest single, "Night & Day". The clip was directed by Peter Serafinowicz who previously made "I Feel Better". He says: "Many animals were harmed during the making of this video. Regrettably, none of them made the final edit." There are guest appearances from Terence Stamp, Reggie Watts and Lara Stone. The song is taken from the band's upcoming LP, "In Our Heads", out June 11 via Domino Records.

Another week rolls by and another room filled with talented musicians is broadcast on the BBC via Later... with Jools Holland. This week, returning to the TV screens of the UK were Hot Chip . It's been a while since we saw them in action live but it's bloody good to have them back. They performed "Night and Day" for the studio and viewers at home and we can expect more from them later in the week when the longer version of the show is broadcast on Friday. I really HATE saying anybody "killed it" anywhere, but Hot Chip "killed it" on UK's Jools Holland yesterday. Their forthcoming album, "In Our Heads,” will see the light of day on June 11. Check out their tour dates below and I'm hoping they have fill in some slots between their Canada and Mexico journey, namely like playing here in Denver. Last night's episode of The Simpsons didn't feature guest voice-acting from any big indie celebs or anything, but it did open and close with montages set to a couple of songs that may sound familiar. It's an in-studio video, with footage of the band recording the track, but it's almost unwatchable with its constant use of camera spinning. It's almost certain to make those with inner ear problems lose balance.
