Back home post the DUBSTAR's fantastic live show, tuning into the HOT CHIP's Coachella set before bed.

This week, London three-piece Daughter released their mesmeric debut album, If You Leave . To celebrate, the trio popped in to BBC Radio 1 on Wednesday night to perform a jaw-dropping session excusively for Zane Lowe. It included this: a gorgeous, slow-burning mix up of Bon Iver's 'Perth' and Hot Chip's 'Ready For The Floor'. Although completely contrasting in their original formats, the group transform them into one continous torch song. Utterly, utterly beautiful. Listen and download below. The HOT CHIP new LP has been growing on me ears this last month and here's their beautiful effects-heavy new video for HOW DO YOU DO ?

So Hot Chip   is back with another nonsensical video for " Look At Where We Are " off of their most recent album In Our Heads . It includes a mad scientist observing a seemingly dead yet beautiful woman, then cutting open either his, or her, tail, and then taking that stuffing and placing it in her head, along with, oh you know, some strawberries that then create a blinding hypnotic mess taking the two back in time to her past as a... model who hates strawberries? The HOT CHIP 's latest long_one required a few extra spins and then last week on holidays it strongly connected with me and is potentially gonna go down as an 012 fave. With the ?UESTLOVE on drums, the Brit electro-poppers took to the Jimmy Fallon show last PM to perform DON'T DENY YOUR HEART , you'd be silly not to watch.

Just in time for my return from the Pitchfork Music Festival in Chicago this weekend, Hot Chip have released a new video for their In Our Heads  cut "Look At Where We Are." Although they didn't play this track during their set on Saturday, their sunset-backdropped performance did reveal some previously unseen emotive subtleties to their music-subtleties that come in ample supply both on this song and in its accompanying video. On the BBC Radio One HQs the HOT CHIP took to the station to cover the PRINCE's IF I WAS YOUR GIRLF almost two mins into their performance.

It's an in-studio video, with footage of the band recording the track, but it's almost unwatchable with its constant use of camera spinning. It's almost certain to make those with inner ear problems lose balance. That said, the song itself is an entertaining eight-or-so minutes, reminding us all of what Hot Chip does best: pulsing, falsetto-driven electronic pop. The album "Flutes" is from, In Our Heads [...]
