Jack White, former frontman of the garage-rock duo The White Stripes and current member of The Raconteurs and The Dead Weather, has just unveiled the first single off his debut solo album Blunderbuss . The single, "Love Interruption," is currently streaming at Third Man Records' website , and will be released as a 73 single February 7th. On first listen, The Black Belles' debut is quite comfortable; it feels like an old standby. That might be because I'm a big fan of The White Stripes and The Dead Weather, two bands that have Jack White's weird influence. This Saturday, as part of Record Store Day, Radiohead released two new songs titled " Supercollider " and " The Butcher ", the last two remnants from the King of Limbs sessions, and highly likely the last material the band will churn out this year. TV on the Radio will release their new album, " Nine Types of Light ", next week and wouldn't you know it, you can stream all the ten tracks entirely for free down at Rhapsody (with your 25 tracks trial account and granted you're on an US ip, of course). The follow-up to the exquisite Dear Science will land officially on April 12th via Interscope Records. The fairy tale screening of Red Riding Hood has been stirring a lot of waves recently, none that will probably find any echoes past 6 months from now, but nonetheless Twilight fans will definitely devour this up. "Goddamn Europeans" seems to shout out PJ Harvey through out her latest full length studio release, titled "Let England Shake", and slated for a February 15 release. Luckily, with week in advance we've been privileged enough to sample the whole album in its entirety via the ever giving NPR stream. At the beginning of the year Dave Grohl and his Foo Fighters announced out of a sudden that they've finished recording the band's seventh studio full length, leaving Foo fans and reminiscing grunge fanatics incredibly anxious. Not much is known about it, except from what Grohl already told us, namely that old Nirvana buddy Krist Novoselic plays bass somewhere on the record and that it's the "heaviest [Foo Fighters] work to date." Stupid is fun alright, and Yeah Yeah Yeahs ' Karen O cover of Roger Alan Wade's " If You're Gonna Be Dumb, You Gotta Be Tough " for the Jackass 3D soundtrack kinda nails the spirit. Sung with a country twang and southern accent, Karen's version provides a nice first listen of the Jackass 3D soundtrack out digitally October 12, which also features tracks from the likes of Weezer, Twisted Sister, and N.A.S.A.'s Squeak E.
