In fact, it seems like that's exactly what he said he did. [ [...]

Do a search for "trap" on SoundCloud and you'll find more than 500 tracks uploaded with the tag in the last three days. What's interesting, though, are the labels that show up with the most frequency in the similar tags section: "bass," "club," "dance," "dj," "dubstep," and "electronic" appear right below the expected "rap," "hip-hop," "remix," and "South." The correlation is directly reflective of a newly burgeoning movement where SoundCloud-fiending musicians have been using trap-like instrumentals to create a sub-genre of their own: trap-rave. One of the most anticipated mixtapes of 2012 is finally here as it's now time to dive into Azealia Banks' "Fantasea" that will lead up to Azealia's album debut "Broke With Expensive Taste" due this fall. Yesterday she tweeted that "Fantasea" almost felt like her first album, that happened by mistake. " This is a test run... I tried a lot of cool things... Sounds I thought were progressive, beats made by close friends, different flowsss ". That said, 19 tracks deep the release features some old material from when Azealia was known as Miss Banks (like 'Us' [...]

Azealia Banks, the Harlemite, has been doing her thing for years now and it finally seems that Banks is about to explode into the mainstream. From her hood flow in her songs to her valley girl speech, we love this energetic slice of chocolate. Yes, her offensive/defensive habits can be annoying but she just needs to tune all of the "it" out. However, we respect her artistry and feel as though we should pay respect before she is that megastar. That is why we bring you Azealia Banks: The One Miss Consistent C*NT Collection . Banks consistently [...]

Azealia Banks may have yet to release a track that has penetrated the masses on as big of a level of last year's breakthrough "2123 , but in everything the rhyme-slinger has dropped since, nary an out-and-out dud has been heard, every new Banks morsel supplying the ear-holes with mind-numblingly displays of her hook-tastic lyrical wizardry atop some of the most forward-thinking production frames. Azealia's latest, "Jumanji" is no different, featuring the Brooklyn-ite laying her catchiest vocal performance yet (second to "2123) in a series of breathless tongue-twisting couplets that lean both playful and take-no-mess serious [...]

Gobby NY up-and-comer Azealia Banks links hipster Scot maestro Hudson Mohawke for a number inspired by that film with Robin Williams and a supernatural board game which emits jungle wildlife.

It appeared that Azealia Banks was ready to derail her own hype train a few weeks ago. Cancelations of summer festival appearances, manager change and a push back of her planned 1991 EP weren't necessarily bad ideas. Banks needs to come correct with Broke With Expensive Taste as a killer debut album (it will be out in September) and perhaps taking her time with things rather than rushing things out is a good thing. In the interim though, Ms. Banks will release a mixtape called Fantastic . This time around, Nick Hook [...]

Harlem rapper, Azealia Banks released this lyrical monument two days ago via her SoundCloud. This is the product of her interfacing with the Scottish icon Hudson Mohawke and Swedish production veteran, Nick Hook . Nick launched his first club in London called Up, which later became London's legendary Loosen Up . Azealia has recently announced that she is cancelling all festival dates to put all her efforts towards her debut album. Download for free below. Bless, Rader
Azealia Banks dropped "Jumanji", a new track off of her new mixtape "Fantastic" coming this summer. The track is produced by Hudson Mohawke and Nick Hook who dropped some dope beats perfectly fitting of Azealia's style. Hudson Mohawke best known for his track "Cbat" has changed up his style a bit to help create a dope base for Azealia to drop her insane flow over. Her wordplay and rhymes are fantastic and her new mixtape coming this summer should be nothing short of that, "Fantastic."

It's been a bumpy ride for Azealia Banks fans in recent months with her cancelling a number of tour dates, changing management and a number of other minor bumps. However the future is looking a hell of a lot brighter as she prepares to unleash 3 studio offerings upon the world before th year is out. First up the long awaited 1991 EP. Then as Summer basks us in its warm glory she'll drop the FANTASTIC mixtape before eventually dropping her full-length debut , Broke With Expensive Taste , before the winter [...]

Glaswegian, new-school hip-hop producer Hudson Mohawke is the man of the moment. Earlier today, female rap sensation Azealia Banks sent the blogosphere into a frenzy with the release of her new HudMo and Nick Hook- produced track "Jumanji". As expected, Azealia is on-point as she transitions from confrontational rapid-fire r hymes to melodic sing-song vocals. Nevertheless, it's the production that really blew me out of the water....and onto the island. The track opens with breezy windchimes and a clattering snare roll, immediately conjuring visions of tropicalia. HudMo's stuttering rhythms glide along seamlessly with Hook [...]

With all the delayed mixtapes, cancelled tour dates, and beef starting, some people we’re starting to swiftly get off the Azealia Banks express, so I think it was the perfect time to drop a new track. “Jumanji” is fantastic, with a gigantic marching band background, and plenty of steel drums to put a wide smile across that face of yours. I think there also might be Elephant, that got sampled in this. Real bitch all day, uptown Broadway. This is taken from Fantastic , the 2nd Mixtape (After 1991) that is due out from her this [...]
