Opening the show was Blood Diamonds and his reputation, as usual, preceded him. With the kids from Oh No! Yoko backing him up it was a perfect tease for our boys Peter and Robbie. HUMANS has always been a Winnie favorite and all I can say about their live show is money well spent. Peter and Robbie have an infectious chemistry on stage that gets the audience frantically involved. Although I was excited to hear some of the new material for their next record, I can't seem to stop enjoying [...]

There are no good guys, there are no sides, there are just people and we all die, eventually. The world will be how it it's going to be and the best you can do is not fuck up those around you too bad. Realizing all of this has actually made me a happier person, and that's kind of sad.

13 1/2 points. That's the official line that the Las Vegas oddsmakers are saying that the Patriots will beat the Broncos with an over/under 50. In other words, odds makers are claiming that it's going to be a high scoring contest with the Patriots handing it to the Broncos. It would be a bad idea to put a small wager if you can on the Broncos to win outright. The odds are heavily not in their favor and that's where they like their chances. Their walls are against the wall and after last week's OT winner [...]

This Kendal bred, London based four-piece produce transfixing soundscapes that combine haunting vocals with drawn out guitars and scratchy synths. Their music is prevalent with influences taken from the last decade of indie and yet manages to avoid falling into the imitation trap. 'Human' is a minimalist and progressive track, stripped back to allow for the teasing vocals of lead singer Fiona Burgess to take the lead. Easily the stand out track of their double release (the other track 'Jenni' is to be released with 'Human' on the 5th December), 'Human' is a fine example of Woman's Hour's [...]
Who knew that all we had to do was party? - Humans Who knew? Probably everyone who has already made plans to head to the Comet on Saturday night, when local party heavyweights Don't Talk To The Cops are grand marshaling the good times parade with support from Vancouver's Humans and local talents Sports and USF. First time I've heard LightsoverLA in over a year, so pretty pumped about this release. Personally a very big fan, if you're new to this highly talented remix artist based out of Phoenix/Los Angeles then I recommend you check out his remix to Two Door Cinema Club's "What You Know," which we had up in July 2010. This one's def on the more indie side ( more in line with his "Dead Hearts" Remix we put up way back ), but it's hard to go wrong sampling Ellie Goulding. Looking forward to hopefully hearing more [...]

WOW. This is a really nice remix by LightsoverLA over an Ellie Goulding tune, which you know will have great vocals already.
