Hype Machine is streaming Porcelain Raft 's debut full length, Strange Weekend , right now. Let me be the first to tell you, it is the record of the year so far. Mauro has created a timeless romantic record that borders the line between reality and dream. A perfect combinaion of uptempo and downtempo tunes that will have you swooning over and over. The Italian is currently supporting M83 in Europe (HUGE), and will be playing some shows with Smith Westerns in the states later this month.

It is the most exciting remix of 2012 so far and involves two of the most brilliant guitarpop bands on the planet today. Foster The People 'I Would Do Anything For You' (Strange Talk remix) In-cred-ible. And certainly better than that Jessie J monstrosity that is at No.1 in the real charts. 'Domino'? Domi-NO more like it.

Hype Machine's latest Zeitgeist mix by White Panda

The Hype Machine's annual zeitgeist is out (part 1). This year they've done a pretty neat format. I highly recommend you go and explore this year's offerings. It's broken into top Artists, Albums and Songs based on posts and plays through The Hype Machine. The Top Songs have been handed over to a few friendly remix artists to create a 30min set. When i discovered RAC 's had a Portuguese producer (Andre Allen Anjos), i couldn't believe it. These guys are really amazing. They had a great 2011 and i can't wait to see what is coming. They did this sweet mix for Hype Machine and i'm in love with it. I really like they way they mixed these tracks, very simple and effective. Plus, there are some of my favorites and also there are some tracks that are not very common in most part of the mixes i've been sharing. Respect! [...]
