Neben lieblichem Gitarrenpop hat die skandinavische und insbesondere auch schwedische Musikszene offenbar auch einen Narren gefressen an Wave-beeinflusstem, etwas dunklerem Sound. Ein sehr schönes Beispiel dafür sind Idoru aus Stockholm - eine ganz neue Band, die bisher lediglich ein paar Songs auf ihrer Myspace-Seite veröffentlicht hat - doch diese sind so gut, so atmosphärisch und zugleich treibend, dass von dem Quartett sicherlich noch Großes zu erwarten ist! It's a trap!Like On Volcano , Idoru is a great example of what's possible in modern DIY indierock. I strongly disagree with my colleague's assessment of the former - while so many current, big-label bands are caught up in fey pretension, pointless experimentalism or worse, it's so good to hear new acts like this.
