Being born in a country that birthed the Kwaito genre, it surely comes as no surprise that it's Benin City 's latest "Faithless" track tweaking my inner little ear-worm and that niggling familiarity button. It's an auditory feast that charges through different genre's by folding and layering them into one another. From the first introductory set of Indie chords, we're then gifted with some seriously hard hitting electro, bass and drum elevations that could easily spur an anthem-esque crowd chant. I've given some lovings to the Sydney treat Jagwar Ma before, but now they've decided to return the favour with the brand new video for the already released "Man I Need". Paris-based singer/multi-instrumentalist Melody's Echo Chamber (Melody Prochet of My Bee's Garden) has released the video for her new single, "Some TIme Alone, Alone" via Pitchfork.tv . Great day for new music. Here's the latest from The Dodos , from their new album "Carrier" (out August 27), the follow-up to 20112s No Color . The track is called "Confidence" and will be released as a digital single on May 21. The album was heavily influenced by the death of Christopher Reimer, who joined the band in 2011. He was an inspiration to the band that led them to exploring more tones and sounds when writing the songs on "Carrier".
Synth Pop-rockers The Naked and Famous will release their Remixes and B-Sides album on May 20th which includes this juicy collaboration with fellow New-Zealanders Kids of 88.
