So Francis Farewell Starlite and his amazing band drops their first song in about two years. Consider me a happy fan. "ETC" proves that Francis and the Lights haven't lost a single step in their absence. Minimal synths, playful keys, and drum kit are what gives the band their signature style. It's a simple setup that creates a sound that's so unique. Oh, and you can't forget about Francis' grand, airy voice that's equally intimate. I have been in such anticipation since word first broke that there was going to be a Kids Of The Apocalypse remix of London Grammar's "Wasting My Young Years." I mean, after hearing their genre-bending, skillfuly produced song "Masters of the Sun," it's hard to expect anything from this band less than earth-shattering profound sounds. After their earth-shattering debut at the beginning of the year, Kids of the Apocalypse sort of went into hibernation. Five months into the year, they have returned with a fantastic, official remix of London Grammar 's song "Wasting My Young Years," taking it to whatever world the kids are from and keeping it there.
