The onetime currency of Interpol drummer Sam Fogarino's distant  patria , the lira, was socioeconomically speaking a pretty feeble money. Lyra however, the first insight into a newly initiated project between he, unplugged Secret Machine Brandon Curtis, and extolled guitarist Duane Denison of a newly furious The Jesus Lizard which goes by the moniker of  EmptyMansions , immediately appears both rich and fulfilling – a wholly worthy adversary to Paul Banks' somewhat mercurial solo manoeuvres . Apparently heavily influenced by the ephemerally gutural scratchiness of nigh on every last Sonic Youth recording, Fogarino's slick snarl is of that same species [...]
