Canadian outfit Black Mountain is finally set to release their third full length LP Wilderness Heart on 9/14 via one of my favorite labels, Jagjaguwar . They are, in my mind, a continuation of what the Velvet Underground were heading toward after The VU & Nico, but didn't go toward. If it weren't for the fact that it was on YouTube and it said "2008" in the title, it would be tough to believe that this video is recent. From their music to their style, Black Mountain is truly the product of an age in music that's long gone; but don't go as far as to say that's where they belong.
