Island Cassettes are back with a new demo “Jaguar Shark”, that sounds like a Paul Simon and Vampire Weekend lovechild. This track would be perfect for those 5 A.M. trips to to the beach to catch the first waves, with your best friends by your side. Picture the whistling in the track as a symbolic wake up call, not only for your day, but for this band.

The Kent musical bug strikes again. Island Cassettes are a new trio who make South African Soukas inspired music.  Their track “Dodo” helps explain their band name perfectly “Island” has to refer to their breezy and gorgeous guitar riffs that will brisk you on to your closet lounge chair and make you forget about the world. “Cassettes” must refer to the lo-fi recording of everything, give an element of  keeping everything really close and intimate and making it a fun affair for the people who are immediately around you.  Very lovely stuff, indeed.
