Those Darlins Having just recently heard Those Darlins for the very first time, their sound immediately reminded me of two things: the early insurgent country sounds being pumped up by Bloodshot Records (especially the label's output during the 1990's) and the late, bad-ass, rockabilly queen Wanda Jackson. I might even through a little dash of Exene Cervenka in their for good measure. The Dexateens The Dexateens have just announced their first tour in support of their forthcoming (and long-awaited) album, Singlewide , which is due in stores on May 12th on Skybucket / Cornelius Chapel Records. Singlewide was produced by Mark Nevers (Calexico, Silver Jews, Lambchop) and has been in the works since 2007.
