The Fool is the new single from Belgian synthetic Disco maestro ATTAR! . Released later in the month on Eskimo Recordings , The Fool is actually the début solo release from ATTAR!, ex-one half of Mustang, despite the fact that it seems otherwise. ATTAR! has been entertaining us with tracks, reMixes and mixtapes for months now, his last original release being the free Folivora Parade . Featuring vocals from Cherry, The Fool walks the line between slowed down robotic Disco and Italo in order to deliver [...]

![[Audio] Garth Knight’s new EP](http://cdn.elbo.ws/posts/5005712_lg.jpg)
One of the top names in the new SynthWave scene is Glaswegian producer Garth Knight , has just released his new EP. Titled, Mandroid , the new record follows on from his slick Goliath album released earlier this year and sees Knight take his rough, cinematic, electronics to ever darker places. The pulsating, synthesizer soundtrack to some long-forgotten Sci-Fi Horror flick, Mandroid oozes electronic menace as it ploughs though it’s five tracks. Kicking off with Construction , you can already feel an old school EBM influence infecting Garth Knight’s work [...]
![[Audio] Todd Terje’s ‘Strandbar’](http://cdn.elbo.ws/posts/5003286_lg.jpg)
The king of the summer, or at least the king of the festival season, Mr. Todd Terje is back with a brand new single, The Norwegian maestro is serving up another platter of typically quirky galactic grooves under the title Strandbar (Norwegian for ‘Beach Bar’). Comprising of three version of the same track, the single hold a Samba version, which didn’t really float our boat as much as the Disco version and the chaotic Bonus take on the track. The Samba and Disco versions [...]
Goin’ Old School isn’t a trip down music memory lane, it’s a mugging in the dark alleyway of nostalgia: Let’s begin todays journey with a bright SynthPop from Spandau Ballet ’s 1982 single; Lifeline . OK, this isn’t strictly a music video, because there isn’t one. But c’mon, what’s Karla DeVito ’s 1985 track We Are Not Alone most famous for? Before Ministry were shite Metal Ministry they were [...]

![[Audio] Pet Shop Boys’ ‘Vocal’](http://cdn.elbo.ws/posts/4986159_lg.jpg)
Vocal is the second full track to see daylight from SynthPop legends Pet Shop Boys ’ highly anticipated forthcoming new album, Electric . The Stuart Price produced LP will be the duo’s thirteenth studio album and from all accounts eschews your usual PSB ballad tracks for a short, sweet, collection of dance tracks. What we’ve heard so far from the album has been pretty modern Italo sounding. No so with Vocal , this drags Pet Shop Boys SynthPop into Euphoric Trance territory and as such is unsurprisingly being championed by Armin Van Buuren. Neil [...]

It’s exciting to listen to. This new one is a remix for Sydney based Indie-Electro outfit Conics and the lead track of their new EP, due out this month. Jordan takes a breezy approach [...]

Just released is Elsewhere, a reMix companion for Somewhere Else who line-up is a variable whos-who is the cream of ElectroPop talent. It’s a killer meeting of minds that features the likes of Dan Lissvik, Young Galaxy, Lost Years and The Field, but right now we are going to take [...]
Goin’ Old School isn’t a trip down music memory lane, it’s a mugging in the dark alleyway of nostalgia: First up it’s Italo pioneers Telex with their most recognisable tune, 1979’s Moskow Diskow . And from the year before, 1978, Daniel Miller’s The Normal and TVOD ’s flip-side, Warm Leatherette . You can buy most of this music from: [...]

Here’s something quite interesting whipped up by one of the best labels around Discotexas . It;s a new single from both Polish ElectroPop duo Rebeka and Portuguese ecclectic Disco producer Mirror People . What began as a collaboration, ended up as two takes on the same song. Taking the tracks in two different direction from the initial seed of shared vision, Rebeka and Mirror People present their versions of Nothing To Give , as one release, our this week. Rebeka’s take on Nothing To Give is a big, dramatic, ElectroPop tune. [...]

So while the sun is coming through my window, we get to première one of the tracks from the album "Elsewhere", a collection of remix tracks taken from Sally Shapiro 's third album "Somewhere Else", released earlier this year. Sally Shapiro are a synthpop duo consisting of Sally Shapiro and Johan Agebjörn, based in Sweden, who have been spreading their love for the Italo disco since 2006. They have produced three albums to [...]

It has been a while since Vito (aka Aeroplane ) dropped a new mix. It's always exciting when we have the chance to check what the Belgian producer has been listening. What really captivate us about in his mixes, is the fact the he doesn't really care much if a track is more or less known. Do you understand the concept? This time he's gong more Italo Disco. To be honest, it sounds so good to listen to a brand new mix coming straight from the sky. Grab your copy below, and check out the tracklist after the jump. [...]

House hotness on Trax Records, press release above and get the release HERE.

Levende legende Giorgio Moroder leverde afgelopen maandag zijn allereerste dj-set in New York af.

Legendary Disco producer, Giorgio Moroder , played recently his first-ever DJ Set in the United States at Output in Brooklyn, NY. We're honest fans of the Italian disco icon, way before the recent boom, specially after his participation on Daft Punk's latest album "Random Access Memories." If you're not familiarized with the background of Giorgio Moroder, you should definitely make some research. He's the man responsible for convincing Donna Summer to sing, helping the disco queen produce some of her greatest hits. He also produced for notable artists such as David Bowie and Blondie amongst others. For more info [...]
![[Audio] Jesse Oliver’s ‘Purified’ EP](http://cdn.elbo.ws/posts/4961953_lg.jpg)
Here’s something a bit special from Finnish artist Jesse Oliver of, one of our favourite production duos, Jay Lamar & Jesse Oliver , fame. Just released on On The Fruit Records is his solo Purified EP. This is a release that’s a little more personal, a little more experimental in it’s approach, and a little more conceptual that what we might expect from this guy, but the results speak for themselves. The three tracks on the Purified EP haven’t been near a computer in their production. this is all [...]
![[MP3] Giorgio Moroder’s ‘Racer’](http://cdn.elbo.ws/posts/4952842_lg.jpg)
Have you been watching the Google I/O Keynote speech? Unless you’re a big old nerd like us, probably not watching a live stream of a developer conference. But if you have, you’d have seen the demonstration of Racer , a cross platform Chrome experiment. A slot racing game with an interesting soundtrack, it’s scored by Italo Disco legend. Mr. Giorgio Moroder . Racer , named after the game itself, is a pounding SynthWave stormer. Loaded with hard hitting basslines and warbling leads. A driving force that lives up to it’s title, Racer [...]
