There's a lot to like crammed into this clever clip from garagey Boston upstarts The I Want You , even beyond the obvious cool factor of "hey! Lego animation!" First and foremost is the very snappy tune itself. "Three Short Days" touts fizzing, six-beats-to-a-measure (a la Pixies ) verses and sugary, swaying choruses, all kinetically paced and spaced within a sharp 100 seconds flat. Kool Bandits are a new production outfit from Paris, France - they sent over their latest track 'I Want You' and from the moment you hit play you know yor're listening to something that is unashamedly French. It might be a little too obvious for some, but quite often that's the best way. It's packed full of big hooks, filtered guitars and while it might be a little rough around the edges, it's clear that these guys know how to make a proper hands-in-the-air French disco banger.
