Today, Jack White dropped the video for "I'm Shakin'," the fired-up Little Willie John video that appeared on his still-great album Blunderbuss . White's been famously touring with two bands lately, one all-male and one all-female. And in the video, two different Whites and both of his bands face off against each other, soundclash-style. Last week, Hype Williams and Jack White posted up the trailer to "Freedom At 213's video. As a general rule, video content that is just over two minutes shouldn't be granted a trailer, but Hype and White are brands unto themselves, and if anything it was an indication that they were "going for it." And fair enough, because they did it: Jack's an outlaw on the run in a electric yellow hotrod, being chased down, cuffed, and incarcerated by unusually voluptuous police officers, and busting great guitar solos while wearing 10lbs of rings. The week's two best videos both revolve around sticky nightmare realities where people act in ways that are entirely socially acceptable, and yet it looks like it might be vaguely fun to be in both groups of people. Maybe Justice's " Stress " video, or those original Die Antwoord clips, will turn out to be a bigger influence than anyone thought. This morning, Jack White debuts the second video (after " Love Interruption ") from Blunderbuss , his solo debut. In the clip for " Sixteen Saltines ," we see White as the only adult, being held hostage in a world otherwise populated entirely by kids who have gone entirely nuts. We see them chugging cough syrup, riding firework-propelled skateboards, smoking weed out of gas masks, getting face tats, and inexplicably flying up into the air. In late January, Jack White dropped "Love Interruption" as well as details from his forthcoming, basically inevitable solo album Blunderbuss . Today the single got a White-directed video, which unravels as a cloudy, vintage-looking performance video that also features his bandmembers: back-up vocalist Ruby Amanfu, clarinet player Emily Bowland, and Brooke Waggoner on the Wurlitzer. Watch it at Vevo . The digital version of “Love Interruption” is out now. Blunderbuss is out 4/24 on Third Man / Columbia .

Vacation, it would seem, is finally over. For the first time in a few weeks, it was actually a bit of a chore to narrow this list down to five videos, since a lot of people are finally letting some good work out into the world. And I'm a bit surprised that two of them are animated. Animated music videos often seem like lame, boring cop-outs, but at least a couple of directors have really sunk their teeth into the form's possibilities this week.
