Holy fantastic sandwich. Four major acts stopped by Later... with Jools Holland earlier this week and we have footage to share of all the fun that was had. Jack White , Norah Jones, Alabama Shakes and Grimes each took turns performing on stage before a live BBC studio audience. Had this show occurred in 1992 when Later debuted, if you weren't there in person to see it you would have been screwed, but thanks to Al Gore we now have global warming and the Internet, which affords us the luxury of [...]

Last night the second part of the Later... with Jools Holland was broadcast on BBC and for our viewing pleasure we got to see more performances from Jack White , Alabama Shakes and Norah Jones . First up for you to enjoy is a man that needs no introduction. Later... with Jools Holland  was back on the air Friday night with a second set of performances by Jack White , Norah Jones , and  Alabama Shakes . (Here's the first set if you missed it.) White tackled the  Blunderbuss   track "Hip (Eponymous) Poor Boy" with the ladies, ripped through The White Stripes' classic "Ball and Biscuit" with the fellas, and shared a few words with Jools. Jones showcased her new LP  Little Broken Heart  with performances of its title track and "Say Goodbye", plus teamed up with Jools [...]

Lots of Jack White news this AM. According to Variety , Jack White will be scoring the Johnny Depp remake of "the Lone Ranger" that is currently/was shot here in Colorado and New Mexico. Look for the film to hit theaters May 2013. Don't be surprised to see White's mug on the big screen like he did in " Cold Mountain ." Later with Jools Holland had a great lineup for the show this past evening with performances by Jack White , Grimes , and Alabama Shakes . You can watch all three perform cuts from their new albums below.

When something has been missing from your life for a while you can have a tendency to over indulge once it returns to your life. I do not think this is possible with Jack White . After releasing his brilliant solo debut Blunderbuss this week he took to the stage of Later... with Jools Holland with his new blue aesthetic in tow for two rousing renditions of tracks. First up was "Sixteen Saltines" (viewable at the top), the infectious single before later in the show a spine tingling performance of "Freedom at 21" (available after the jump) went down. [...]

Jack White released Blunderbuss  yesterday and if you didn't already, get out there and pick it up. It's less twangy than my initial expectations with "Love, Interruption", which is a good thing. It has its great moments and both tracks he performed on Later...with Jools Holland qualify in that category. Check out his performances of "Sixteen Saltines" and what I have to assume will be the follow-up single, "Freedom at 213. That's the track he released a couple of weeks back on a flexi-vinyl via helium balloons. Regardless of the gimmicks, Jack is a legend.

Jools Holland 's show kicked off tonight with a bumper line-up of artists who've released some of the best albums of the year so far. Jack White played a couple of tracks from his excellent debut solo album "Blunderbuss" , Alabama Shakes  played from their equally-as fantastic debut LP "Boys & Girls" , and Canadian experimental indie-electronic artist  Grimes played from her stunning album "Visions" .
