I've been away in Ontario for the past week. I did the following: -Watched the Toronto Blue Jays beat the Seattle Mariners 7-0. -Ate nachos in the University of Western Ontario Community Centre and talked loudly about how stressed I was about exams. -Danced to "Return of the Mack" in a hotel bar patronized almost exclusively by people 45 and older. -Published an article about Jack White 's new album, Blunderbuss , in The Tyee . Watch the video for his single "Love Interruption" below.
April departs with a busy Monday: ► Remember when guitar bands had platinum records? Eve 6 does. The L.A. pop-punk trio was selling records in droves before they were old enough to drink, but in 2004 after a platinum album (19982s "Eve 63), a gold record (20002s "Horrorscope") and a disappointing third album (20032s "It's All in Your Head"), they went away. Now Max Collins, John Siebels and Tony Fagenson are back with "Speak in Code" (out last week), and their radio-friendly hooks seem sharp as ever. The girls-going-wild single "Victoria" may not be [...]

The set saw White, with the help of both his female and male bands, perform 21 songs spanning the entirety of his career, as well as briefly covering Frank Ocean's part in Jay-Z and Kanye West's "No Church in the Wild" (skip to 1:12:45). On Friday, as part of their inscrutably titled Unstaged series, American Express and YouTube live streamed Jack White's show at Webster Hall in New York City, directed by Gary Oldman. White performed a stunning 21-track, career-spanning set that included early classics like "Dead Leaves and The Dirty Ground" and "We're Going To Be Friends," along with new ones like "Hypocritical Kiss," and even Frank Ocean's hook on Watch The Throne 's "No Church In The Wild" (@1:12:45 mark). If you missed it the first time around, you can watch the whole [...]

Holy fantastic sandwich. Four major acts stopped by Later... with Jools Holland earlier this week and we have footage to share of all the fun that was had. Jack White , Norah Jones, Alabama Shakes and Grimes each took turns performing on stage before a live BBC studio audience. Had this show occurred in 1992 when Later debuted, if you weren't there in person to see it you would have been screwed, but thanks to Al Gore we now have global warming and the Internet, which affords us the luxury of [...]

Last night, Jack White performed at Webster Hall in New York City to a sold out audience. For those of us that couldn't make it into the show, we weren't left out of the fun. The entire concert was streamed on YouTube and was directed by Commissioner Gordon himself; Gary Oldman. Down below you can watch the concert for yourself and start jumping up and down in front of your laptop like I was. White and both of his bands ripped through plenty of songs off of Blunderbuss along with tracks from [...]

The other night when Jools Holland aired with Alabama Shakes , Jack White , and Grimes , they played a few cuts from their respective albums and now the rest of their sets have made their way online. Jack White did "Blunderbuss" track "Hip (Eponymous) Poor Boy" , The White Stripes classic (and my personal favourite song of theirs) "Ball And Biscuit" , and a little interview with [...]
Last night the second part of the Later... with Jools Holland was broadcast on BBC and for our viewing pleasure we got to see more performances from Jack White , Alabama Shakes and Norah Jones . First up for you to enjoy is a man that needs no introduction. We already saw him perform "Sixteen Saltines" and "Freedom at 21" earlier in the week and last night adding to those Jack performed "Hip (Eponymous) Poor Boy" and The White Stripes track "Ball and a Biscuit". I only just noticed this [...]

Click this link for the stream In the meantime If you can't wait, here's an Inside Look at tonight's Unstaged performance

Tonight at 9pm EST/6pm PST Jack White and Gary Oldman will be teaming up for what is looking to be one hell of a show. And if the previews are any indication of what we have in store, it appears that pretty much anything can happen. There could be people fighting, piano duets on the same piano and maybe even a long-awaited reunion with Meg White resulting in The White Stripes finally getting back together. Okay, so that last one probably isn't going to happen but the others are almost guaranteed. For [...]
Last year Jack White spent a week on The Colbert Report as Stephen was eager to learn Jack's secrets at Third Man Records and release his own track, which he subsequently did. Last night the two met again, this time it was to promote Jack's new solo record Blunderbuss. The night featured a backstage interview between Jack and Colbert along with a performance of "Freedom at 21" which features White's male backing band. You know the drill, one video is up at the top and the other is after the jump.
Sure, we're all excited to catch Jack White's performance on Stephen Colbert... but if I'm honest I'm way more into this interview. For some reason White's incredibly dry conversation style pairs nicely with Colbert's full on absurdity.

Jack White made a return to The Colbert Report to perform "Freedom At 213 off of his debut solo album, Blunderbuss , and knocked it out of the damn park. Check out the performance down below along with his interview with Stephen Colbert. While it wasn't as in-depth as his previous Colbert interview , it was still enough to further prove that White and Colbert need a sitcom...or at least an internet series of their own.
