Lots of Jack White news this AM. According to Variety , Jack White will be scoring the Johnny Depp remake of "the Lone Ranger" that is currently/was shot here in Colorado and New Mexico. Later with Jools Holland had a great lineup for the show this past evening with performances by Jack White , Grimes , and Alabama Shakes . You can watch all three perform cuts from their new albums below.

A couple of weeks ago, Jack White announced that his edition of the collaborative "U nstaged " live concert webcast would be directed by Gary Oldman, and teased it with a short trailer. Now, Jack White's "Unstaged" VEVO page has several more short trailers featuring Jack and Oldman just pal-in' around, like a couple of old buddies (including one where Jack tells Oldman to bring his car around, like Oldman was a valet! When something has been missing from your life for a while you can have a tendency to over indulge once it returns to your life. I do not think this is possible with Jack White . After releasing his brilliant solo debut Blunderbuss this week he took to the stage of Later... with Jools Holland with his new blue aesthetic in tow for two rousing renditions of tracks. First up was "Sixteen Saltines" (viewable at the top), the infectious single before later in the show a spine tingling performance of "Freedom at 21" (available after the jump) went down. [...]

Jack White released Blunderbuss  yesterday and if you didn't already, get out there and pick it up. It's less twangy than my initial expectations with "Love, Interruption", which is a good thing. It has its great moments and both tracks he performed on Later...with Jools Holland qualify in that category. Check out his performances of "Sixteen Saltines" and what I have to assume will be the follow-up single, "Freedom at 213. That's the track he released a couple of weeks back on a flexi-vinyl via helium balloons. Regardless of the gimmicks, Jack is a legend.

Jools Holland 's show kicked off tonight with a bumper line-up of artists who've released some of the best albums of the year so far. Jack White played a couple of tracks from his excellent debut solo album "Blunderbuss" , Alabama Shakes  played from their equally-as fantastic debut LP "Boys & Girls" , and Canadian experimental indie-electronic artist  Grimes played from her stunning album "Visions" . Now *that* is what I expect from the album then, you’ve got yourself a hard sell their Jackie boy! That said, this is Jack White, stepping out on his own for the very first time, to record his first solo record. Jack White will release Blunderbuss next Tuesday. He's been out doing some promotion around the globe and making announcements about headlining different summer festivals. He stopped by De Harald Schmidt Show in Germany yesterday and performed two tracks off his upcoming debut, solo album. Glad it wasn't just the two we've been hearing. He skips "Love Interruption" this time and performs "Sixteen Saltines", along with a new track "Freedom at 213. So pumped for Blunderbuss .

The JACK WHITE's ex-wife, known to a few as the KAREN ELSON , has just unleashed a new video for MILK & HONEY which ain't a cover of the BECK's MIDNITE VULTURES toon.

In recent times, there has been a giant black hole where all the rockstars used to be. Jack White releases his latest video which is packed with trippy imagery and is just an overall interesting/insane video. I realize this came out a few days ago so some of you hard core Jack White fans may have seen this already, but for those of you that haven't check out the new video for "Sixteen Saltines" above...

White Stripes fans will be glad to hear the crunchy power chords in "Sixteen Saltines," the latest single from Jack White's upcoming solo debut Blunderbuss . However, he asks "Who's jealous of who?", sounding like a reversal of  "Who's using who?" from "Icky Thump." Having this in mind while watching White being prepped to be burned alive inside a car might give you the idea that the Third Man is breaking with his past.
