It appears that Jack White is adding to his already intimidating heap of work and going "Cold Mountain" on us again. The White Stripes/Raconteurs/Dead Weather/Your Band mastermind is, according to an interview with Music Connection , planning to begin work on a solo record later this year in his Nashville lair. Details are scant for now, but wouldn't it make more sense to cajole Meg into getting the band back together?

According to the official White Stripes website , this weekend White Stripes drummer Meg White and her fiance Jackson Smith officially tied the knot as part of a double wedding staged in Jack White 's backyard in Nashville, TN. Smith is the son of rockers Patti Smith and Fred (Sonic) Smith (MC5) and was the guitarist in the recently disbanded Detroit group Back in Spades . We hate reporting rumors, at least until confirmed or reported by someone else (you know, so we don't take the blame). White Stripes / Raconteurs / Dead Weather man Jack White has become a member of his home cities 46-member Business Council . White has joined the Nashville Music Business Council whose other members include Brooks & Dunn 's Kix Brooks and Emmylou Harris . Jack White side project Dead Weather (which also features SubEx fav Alison Mosshart of The Kills) released the cover art for their upcoming disc "Horehound" today. They have also released their tour schedule, which so far only brings them to TX for ACL in October --go figure.They would totally be worth the drive to see though, as White and Mosshart are two of the most dynamic performs around. =w=
