Just announced today, Jack White (he of White Stripes fame) will be releasing his debut solo album in April entitled Blunderbuss . The first single from the album is called Love Interruption . There's a nice blend of genres going on here. There's some good acoustic guitar work with background electronic piano simultaneously playing, with a touch of blues. White's vocals are strong and the song overally is pretty catchy. Take a listen to Love Interruption below:

I idolize Jack White more than any other living celebrity or whatever on Earth. Dude makes kick-ass music, has solid business sense, keeps his shit under control, and has been doing all of those things for over a decade now without fucking up even once. Jack White's label, Third Man Records, announced a whole bunch of exciting releases yesterday.

If you couldn't tell from the obnoxious commercials and rampant sales everywhere, Christmas is on its way. Or, to be politically correct, "the holidays are here." One store getting in on the fun is Nashville's Third Man Records . As usual, they've announced a bevy of solid releases, dubbed a "winter bounty", all for the inner Jack White enthusiast in us all. First up are four reissued singles from The White Stripes: "The Big Three Killed My Baby" b/w "Red Bowling Ball Ruth" (TMR117); "Lord, Send Me an Angel" b/w "You're Pretty Good Looking (Trendy American Remix)" [...]

If not my favorite band of all time then definitely my second, U2, are rolling up on the twenty year anniversary of Achtung Baby . Q Magazine is setting up covers for the album with various artists in commemoration, and Jack White did “Love Is Blindness”. It’s pretty blistering.

Jack White takes the final track off of his U2 cover album and releases “Love is Blindness.” Jack Whites voice reigns supreme over the rest of the track because it keeps the backbone of what people are accustomed to and hoping the style which will remain since the split of The White Stripes. Don’t expect this to be any material that mimics the styling of U2, but it does pay tribute.

As you probably could have predicted, the White Stripes’ recent breakup didn’t put a damper on Jack White’s impossibly prolific churning out of jams.
